Hope Alive: Applying God’s Word to Your Daily Life

The Revelation 4:6

I am Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and had been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. The purpose of studying scripture is that you might know the character of Jesus Christ, and that you might see the world from the Father's perspective. That you gain wisdom that changes your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open His word to you and allow you to see Him and to know Him. To know His will, that you might glorify Him and that you might walk in faith and power each day, especially today. In Jesus name.

This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day,

especially today in Jesus name.

It says,

before the throne, there was a sea of glass like crystal.

And in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

Now, I'm not going to get into a lot of detail with them because, you know, I got to leave you with a little bit of cliffhanger,

all right?

And by the way,

these cherubs are cool, okay? They are way cooler than fat babies with wings, okay? They're way cooler than them. I mean, these cherubs are something else. These cherubs wouldn't let somebody get on the roof.

I'm going to tell you. They would have been. They would have handled it. They. They know what they doing, all right? Because they got eyes all around them,

all right? And they are awesome.

But. But I want you to know this,

that around the throne is a sea of glass,

which means that in heaven, there's no longer any tribulation,

there's no longer waves of the sea.

There's no longer struggles,

there's no longer difficulties.

These elders, this church that now is before the throne of God,

no longer struggles with the pain of the flesh,

the worries of the day,

the struggles with relationships with other people,

the loss,

the hunger,

the guilt,

the doubt.

There's no longer any of that in heaven that's not going on when we get there.

It's just a sea of glass which is a picture of the nations in peace.

Because Jesus is the prince of peace.

Enjoy in hope,

in life.

And there's nothing else.

Nothing else that would cause us pain and suffering and death.

He's overcome death.

He is the overcomer.

Death doesn't have any victory or sting.

In fact, death is the true beginning of spiritual life for a believer. Death is just the natural end of the physical life and the true exploration of the spiritual life.

And that spiritual life is an eternal one,

which means it never ends.

And it never gets boring.

It never gets boring.

It's fun. You get to explore all that God is for eternity. And you never, ever fully fully know it all, because you find out more the next day and the next day.

And I believe that God made a universe for us to live in.

And even though I don't believe we're going to have universal translators, and I'm not sure that it's going to be Vulcans, although if he's going to have any, I want Vulcans to be the ones that are there.

If he has any other species on any other planet, I want Spock to be one of them. Okay, Just letting you know. But I do believe he made us to explore the universe.

I do believe he gave us the power and the authority over all that he made.

And I do believe when he makes a new heaven and a new Earth, we will not just rule on the Earth,

but we will rule all over the universe. We'll live all over the universe.

And the chaos that is the universe will not be chaos.

Here,

everything will not tend toward chaos. Everything will tend toward perfection.

The law of entropy will not exist in the new heaven and the new Earth.

Everything will be calm, everything will be love, Everything will be joy and peace.

And we see that here in this picture of heaven.

When you get there, it's going to be fun.

And by the way, I want you to be here next week. Not just to study the cherubs, because they're cool, okay? But we're going to have a couple of songs get sung and we're going to learn some stuff from those songs, okay?

We're going to learn how.

How creation relates to God. And we're going to learn how we relate to God,

okay? And there's going to be some really good stuff about that.

And we're going to.

Next week is not, in my opinion, it's not as powerful and understanding as this week.

But it may be practice wise, even better than this week. Because to understand how we worship God, because these elders are teaching us how to do this, okay? To understand how to worship God,

you really got to study the book of the Revelation. Because they know how to do it right as you go today, I pray.

That the Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
