I am Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and had been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. The purpose of studying scripture is that you might know the character of Jesus Christ, and that you might see the world from the Father's perspective. That you gain wisdom that changes your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open His word to you and allow you to see Him and to know Him. To know His will, that you might glorify Him and that you might walk in faith and power each day, especially today. In Jesus name.

This is Chad Harrison and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day,

especially today in Jesus name.

Well, let's, let's get into this just a little bit and then we'll fill it. We'll fill, fill it out more next week.

After these things, I looked. What. What is that word? After these things Meta tile to after they were sealed, I looked. And behold a great multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples, tongues and languages,

standing before the throne and before the Lamb clothed in white robes and palm branches in their hands.

All right,

now, I'm not going to get into a great big lot of detail about this because I think that I would do not be able to do this verse service if I, if I skipped over it because there's a lot of things I want you to notice about it.

Okay?

There's a lot of things I want.

You to see about it.

But what happens is after God seals these 12,000 preacher boys, these, I mean, these 144,000 preachers,

okay? And that's what they are. They're. They're Old Testament Jewish prophets.

He looks and around the throne after this,

meaning because of this,

this happens because of the church age.

God's judgment of the earth is happening because of the Old Testament. Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament and fulfill its covenants.

You have constantly in Scripture, God does this, and then after that he does this and after that, he does this.

All right,

after these people go out,

there is a multitude of what can only be described as believers.

There's a multitude of what can only be described as believers.

That that multitude is.

That multitude of believers is uncountable.

Now, I'm going to tell you what I think this means, but this is me telling you what I think this means.

I think what happens on the earth because the church is taken away and all that's left are those who are going to permanently reject God because they already rejected him before and those afterwards who are going to hear the message of the gospel.

Okay, now you need to hear this.

That's not just the people that are alive on the earth when the tribulation happens,

because Jesus is going to rule over the earth for a thousand years,

and they're going to continue to be married and continue to have children,

and the earth is going to continue to operate for a thousand years as it. As it's operated.

So I believe that the largest portion of those who are redeemed by the gospel of Jesus Christ actually happens after the tribulation's over.

I believe that the message of the 144,000 is a message that is heard. And there are lots of people on the earth who hear that message, who've not heard it and are redeemed.

And then after that, for the millennial kingdom,

they are. Their message is the message that is heard.

And that's why the number of them is so great. And by the way, it's so great that it's uncountable, which is there's only other one group in heaven that's uncountable.

Does anybody know the angels? The angels are uncounted. Unaccounted.

Okay.

The angels are thousands upon thousands and ten thousands upon ten thousand.

Well, this group of believers. And you go, well, how do you know they're believers? Well, they're wearing. What?

They're wearing white robes. Okay? So they're redeemed,

all right? They washed their robes in the blood.

Okay.

They've been made white as snow,

by the way. We're going to get into some of the interesting things, but I'm going to throw them out there and then we'll talk about them. They're from every tribe and nation, which means.

How does he know that they're from every tribe and nation?

Because they all look different. That's exactly right. Red, yellow, black and white. They. All of it. Big, tall, fat, ugly,

beautiful, you know, whatever. They all out there, okay? They're all. All races. All. And. And I want you to hear me.

In order for us to be an effective church for the kingdom of God, we must have all that.

I.

Listen, I. I promise you this.

You cannot have a healthy church without people from.

Now, look,

look. If you're in. If you're in Scandinavia,

you get a pass for not having Asians and. And black folks in your church. Are you following me? If you're in sub Saharan Africa and there are no white people around, you get a pass for not having white people in your church.

All right? But if you live in an area that's 40% black, 10% Asian, 10% Latino, and 40% white. You don't get a pass for being all black or all white.

Okay?

You don't get a pass for that. I'm sorry, you don't.

You don't. You don't get a pass for that.

It's not okay.

Why? Because when he saw this group around the throne, he saw people from every tribe and nation and tongue and language,

meaning they were from every. They were not only color wise,

from different nationalities, different.

By the way, race is such a not a true word.

Y' all do understand that? Nobody had race.

Race is a 18th, 19th and 20th century construct.

Y' all do know that, right?

It was.

Being white, black, red and yellow was not a. Is not a. Is not. Is a very modern construct.

Okay?

Tribes attacked other tribes. They were from different. They had different colorings and they mixed it. That's the way it's always been. We are the Gentiles.

Nowhere in scripture does the Gentiles lay them out to be different races.

It's not there. Sorry. It's not there. All right? And by the way, that's another one of those verses. Are you with me? And even I'm telling you, even in black churches, this has been taught, you know that if you're black, you are under the curse of Cain, right?

Have y' all heard that?

He said Noah. What's the problem with being under the curse of Cain?

All Cain's descendants died in the flood.

Okay?

So there is no curse of Cain left on the earth.

They all died in the flood.

All right? All of them.

Every one of them.

We are from who?

Where? We're from Noah. Who did Noah come from?

Seth.

Okay?

Noah came from Seth.

All right? So if you're going to go all the way back to Adam,

your grandfather beneath Adam is Seth.

And it doesn't matter if you're red, yellow, black or white,

whether you're from Asia, India, Africa,

you all came from Seth.

That's taking a verse of scripture and turning it on its head.

I want you to notice how to do that, because as God's people,

we need to understand that.

We need to understand that. We do not allow a single verse to inform all of our theology. We allow all of scripture to inform our theology and teach us what the verses mean.

It's real important that you see that they're redeemed. But they're not like us.

They're not like us. And I'm going to show you how they're not like us.

Okay?

Next week because they're different. And these are not us. They're not. They're definitely not us.

Okay?

There's some distinct differences between this group and the church.

Okay.

And one of them is, you can't count them. Does God count the church? Yeah. He knows exactly. He knows your name, he knows your voice.

Okay.

Before.

He definitely knows the number of the church. In fact, he doesn't start this whole book of the Revelation. He doesn't start it until the church age is complete.

He doesn't start it till then.

So he already knows when that's going to happen.

Jesus knows when it's going to happen because he says it wasn't for his disciples to know before that. He said, no man knows.

After he ascended the Father, they asked him. He said, it's not for you to know.

I now know because he knew all things by then.

All right.

That'S a lot of covering some passages. We're going to start back with that verse again because there are a few other things I really want you to see about it. And then we're going to move in.

Because remember, he's laying the framework.

The actual presentation of the Gospel is changes during the tribulation.

It's still effective.

It changes from the Old Testament to the New Testament to the tribulation.

Because.

The group of people that God is redeeming changes. It's a big difference. Really big difference. As you go today, I pray that.

The Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
