This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.

His word to you and allow you.

To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today.

In Jesus name it says, the first angel sounded and hail and fire followed, mingled with blood,

and they were thrown to the earth.

And a third of the trees were burned up and all the green grass was burned up.

Now, this hearkens us back to the seventh plague in Egypt where hail came down, a hail of fire came down, and it burned all the vegetation in Egypt. Now, the word for tree here is the word fruit tree, okay?

And I'm gonna give you the places where you can identify, okay? The Holy Spirit's work.

Remember, fruit is always a picture of the work of the Holy Spirit being finished out, okay? In fact, the work of the Holy Spirit in you.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit bring about fruit of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of God at work. And these are always fruit trees, okay? They're always fruit trees.

All right? And so when you're thinking about this,

you've got a hail and hail is always God's judgment.

And anybody's ever been to hailstorm, nobody ever says, well, man, we'd love to have a nice little hailstorm. You know what I'm talking about? That never ever actually happens. And by the way, it usually is the predicate for what?

A tornado. That's exactly right. In Alabama, we know it's a predicate for a tornado, but a hailstorm is always God's judgment. Fire can be one of two things.

It can be God's judgment or it can be refining, but it always relates to who.

The Holy Spirit. That's exactly right. The Holy Spirit is the one who refines us by fire. The Holy Spirit is a consuming fire for judgment.

So I want you to notice that what's happening here is the Holy Spirit's not functioning in the role he's been functioning in. In fact,

in many ways, that's no longer here at all.

Okay?

And so you have God giving us a pharaoh, having his heart hardened by God and Notice if you, if you'll go, if you go back to the book of Exodus and my Bible study through that in the morning,

if you wanna just look it up real easy, you just go to Hope Alive.

And Hope Alive is the podcast you can look it up on anywhere. Chad Harrison, Hope Alive and you look Exodus up, you can look that up. And I explained that in those podcasts.

I explained that that judgment of Pharaoh was God changed from wanting to give him grace to him becoming an object and a lesson of God's wrath.

All right?

This right here is a lesson of God's wrath. There's no more Vegeta.

The trees are destroyed by it, the fruit trees are destroyed by it. And what else is destroyed by it? The grass of the field,

okay?

And that is a major blow to the food supply here and to the animal population of the earth,

okay? It's also a judgment of the first living things that were made in creation,

okay? The first thing he made were the trees and the grass of the field,

okay? That were alive in creation.

And so it's a judgment against life,

evil, life.

It says here the angel sounded and hail and fire followed. Mingled with what?

Blood.

Always. Now, listen, you gotta think this all the time.

Blood is life,

okay? It is always life.

Blood is the source of your life, really.

Your blood is what gives your rest of your body, all its nutrients, all its oxygen.

All the good things that you need to live come from your blood, and they come from life. If you got a blood disease, you got a problem.

If you've got leukemia,

you got an issue.

Why? Because your blood is no longer doing what it needs to do. And we know that. We see that.

One of the elders in my first church in Montgomery that we started,

he had non Hodgkin lymphoma.

And everybody who had it either had a.

Had a. What is it? It's called a blood trans. It's not a transfusion. It's a bone marrow transplant,

all right? And what that does is that changes the.

Literally changes the genetics of the bone marrow, okay? It changes your bone marrow to the bone marrow. You get that transplant.

It's amazing how it works.

And about 90,

somewhere in about neighborhood, about 95% of the people who get the bone marrow transplant, it fixes it and they go into remission. The other 5% die in about two years.

He lived,

I think, 12 or 13 years with it.

He went to all the hospitals in the country.

They would call him and ask him to come. And when he got there, he realized they were not asking him to come so that they could figure out how to treat him.

They. They were asking him to come so they could study him because nobody had had that as long as he did.

And eventually, once you start to get transfusions, your body begins to reject the transfusions if you have too many of them.

And when he died,

I was in the room when he died.

He had so little blood in his system that rigor Morris sit in instantly. He was hard as a rock within five minutes because there was no life.

No blood,

no life.

Okay?

When the wrath of God falls down, it deals with life. It's a wrath against. Against sin, which is born of a will against his own.

Okay?

It's born of a will against his own and it involves life.

It says, and they were thrown to the earth and a third of the trees were burned up and all the green grass was burned up.

Verse 8.

Then the second angel sounded and something like. And I love the way it says this. Something's actually not there.

It just, in the English makes it sound. It just makes the sentence work better if you read it actually in the Greek, it say, and like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea,

and a third of the sea became blood again,

and a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

All right, now,

I don't know what a great mountain means,

okay? I don't know it for sure, but let me give you a guess at it.

Okay?

It could literally be an asteroid that comes from space and it falls in the sea and it causes some major, major issues.

A lot of people will translate it that way,

but we know in scripture that mountains represent great.

They represent great works of humanity.

Okay?

All right.

And when I read great mountain here,

I think of great civilizations,

okay?

All right?

And so this could be an asteroid that falls into the ocean that causes this,

okay.

Or it could be because seas represent the gentiles.

It could be that some great civilization falls apart,

okay?

And that civilization is encompassed by the rest of the world population,

okay?

Now if you say great civilization, you have to define it in a couple of ways.

You could have a great civilization that is an old civilization,

okay? The greatest and oldest civilization on the earth is.

Huh,

The Chinese. Yeah. The China. China is probably the greatest and oldest civilization on the earth, probably,

Even though they've not always been united.

Followed by the subcontinent of India,

the Indian civilization.

Okay?

It could be that.

It's very unlikely.

Would be Europe.

Or it could be a great power,

a great civilization that is more powerful than all the other civilizations in the world.

So that would might be us.

And you go, are we really that powerful?

Well, the answer is yes,

okay? And I know people.

Y', all, y' all will be on your face,

your face chats and your, and your Snap books and, and you're watching all kinds of videos with people telling you all kinds of stuff. If anybody gets on there and tells you that, you know, the, the Koreans or the Chinese or,

or the Russians have made this weapon and it's going to destroy us because we don't have. We don't have a military that can handle it. And we need to be really worried about that.

That somebody who is trying to get you to support more money being spent on their project. Okay,

Why I say that? Well, the United States spends more on its military than how many of the next countries behind it combined? Does anybody know? It's not all of them.

It's all 10 of the countries behind it. Now you go, well, what about the other countries? They don't spend enough for it to even count, okay?

I mean, they don't have tanks. They don't have airplanes. They ain't got nothing. If they got them, they so old that we've got them put up on pedestals outside of our military bases,

if they have tanks, they're nothing like ours,

okay? We have, we have squadrons of airplanes that can defeat all the other airplanes on the Earth combined.

Our F35 Raptors can, can destroy any air force in the world in mere days.

Easy.

You need to understand that when. When they say we have the strongest military in the world,

it's not even close.

We also have the strongest economy in the world,

and it's really not even close that way either. And I know everybody says, well, what about the Chinese?

Well,

they're growing and they're actually becoming more than a blip on the radar.

But they also have lots of problems.

They don't have access to resources.

They have a population that is getting really, really old really, really fast.

And by the way, they don't have a navy that can control the seas.

And that's another thing.

You do realize that we have the greatest navy in the world by far.

We have 10 active aircraft carriers. Do you know how many active aircraft carriers the rest of the world has?

11.

There's 11 of them.

Of their active aircraft carriers,

not one of them is even close to as strong as one of ours. In fact,

most people think if one of our active aircraft carrier fought all the other ones in the world,

ours would Win.

It's not close.

We control most of the world's news.

We control most of the world's satellites.

We control most of the methods of people getting information.

And even the things we make in China that are any good, they're all made by American companies.

We also are purveyor of most of the evil in the world, too.

And so understanding that if somebody said that this would be a picture of our civilization collapsing and causing death in the sea,

which is a picture of death in the Gentiles,

that could very well happen. And if somebody. If somebody were to say that that's. That's how you ought to interpret this,

I couldn't say they're wrong.

If they told you that there's going to be a. If you said, where does it say in the book of the Revelation that.

That there's an asteroid that falls to the Earth and it destroys a third of the oceans and a third of the fish in the sea and a third of the ships?

I'd say chapter eight,

second trumpet. Somebody said to me, where does it say the United States is destroyed and it destroys a third of the food and the oceans of the world?

I'd say the second trumpet, chapter eight.

Okay.

Why?

Because I don't know,

but it ain't good.

It's real bad,

okay? Because the sea becomes. A third of the sea becomes blood,

and the fish of the ocean are destroyed. By the way, and I know we talk about how great we are as a nation,

you do realize that we still have not really explored 70, 80% of the ocean.

It's a. This. I don't know if y' all know it or not, but you can turn the globe around and you can get to a spot which we call the Pacific Ocean.

And it don't look like there's any land.

The oceans are huge. And for a third of the fish of the oceans to die is a major disaster.

It's a major disaster for. For not only the oceans, but for humanity.

A third of the ships to be destroyed.

Ships stand for ships, boats,

salvation. Very good.

All right.

So. So there, There is a lot of destruction that goes on in this. And. And when you read it, you. You get. That says a third of the living creatures,

living creatures in the sea died. The. And the third of the ships were destroyed.

As you go today, I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep.

You, that he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
