This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.
Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.
I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.
I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.
His word to you and allow you.
To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today,
in Jesus name.
Okay, now I want you to notice.
I want you to notice that it says.
It says that a voice.
I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar, which is before God,
saying to the sixth angel, by the way, number six is the number four,
man. Very good. It's important.
It's the number for man.
He said the sixth angel who had the trumpet release the four angels. Now, this has to do with creation because four is the number of creation. How God has made creation release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
Now,
he's taken us to all kinds of places.
The great river Euphrates hearkens us back to the book of Genesis, where the garden is,
okay? The garden is at the headwaters of four great rivers.
The Euphrates,
the Pishon,
the other one, Tigris, the Euphrates, the Pishon. And I can't remember the fourth one. All right? A lot of people say, well, we don't know where that is.
Well, in all actuality, we really pretty much kind of do. And the way we know it is we know three of the rivers,
okay?
And we know there's a fourth river, and we know kind of where that river ran. And if.
And until about 50, 60 years ago,
we had no clue what it was. But about 50 or 60 years ago, when we got this new.
This new equipment called satellites and satellite imagery,
there is a. There is a dry riverbed, an ancient dry river bed that runs out of Saudi Arabia,
okay? And that flows out of Saudi Arabia and flows all the way down.
And it flows into what it. What is. What is modern day the Persian Gulf,
okay? If you draw a line for the Tigris, Euphrates,
Pishon, and this other river, and I can't remember what the name of it, and you draw a line,
it's right in the middle of the Persian Gulf,
okay? All Right?
So these, this, this. These angels were.
Were bound at the great river Euphrates. So we know. We know a couple of things. First of all, we know that they're angels.
Second of all, we know that they're bound there,
which means they have to be fallen angels.
Remember this as you're reading through scripture, because it is important that you. That you know what you're reading.
An angel has spiritual authority,
okay? An angel existed as a part of the angelic army in heaven.
A third of them fell when Satan fell,
2/3 of them didn't.
Okay?
Out of that third that fell, some of them left their first estate. The Bible teaches us both in the New Testament and the Old Testament, and they had relations with the daughters of men,
and they created creatures that were 100% spirit.
They had a spirit,
they were evil. They had a soul that was evil, and they had a body or flesh that was evil.
Are you following me?
So,
and. And the Bible says that the reason God chose Noah is because he was perfect in his genealogy or his generations,
okay? Which means we know father.
We know that Abraham's father going all the way back was Adam,
all right?
Understanding that these creatures that existed, they call them nephilim,
they died.
In the Old Testament,
they are called unclean spirits.
In the New Testament, they are called demon demons.
Demons are disembodied humans with evil spirits.
Are you listening to me?
They're not ghosts.
Ghosts are human beings who have died, who stay on the earth.
They don't do that.
That's not scriptural.
Are you listening to me?
That's not scriptural.
Hanks don't exist,
all right? And some of y' all going, what are you talking about, Hank? That's the Southern way of calling a ghost, all right? That's the Southern. As a Southern term for a ghost is a haint, all right?
Hanks don't exist.
Demons do.
And demons really like something because they used to be human.
And they're disembodied evil spirits.
They like to hang out with humans,
okay?
So they like to be where humans are and to do what humans do and to hang out with humans.
And so they are familiar spirits in your family.
They like to hang out with your family,
and they like to remain in your family, and they like to hold on to families so that families don't get to walking with God too close and get driven out.
They like to control things. They are controlling spirits.
Are you following me?
They have no power nor authority.
Did any demon ever confront Jesus and tell him that they were Gonna do something.
Did they ever contend with Jesus or argue with Jesus?
No.
They always fall to their knees and beg him, what do you have? What are you gonna do with me?
Do fallen angels contend with angels and contend with Jesus?
Yeah.
Did the devil contend with Jesus in the wilderness?
Absolutely he did.
Did Lucifer contend with Michael over the body of Moses? Bible says he did.
So fallen angels are spiritual authorities.
And the fallen angels that.
That fell with Satan, they do have controls over areas of the earth.
Daniel says,
I wrestled with the Prince of Persia for 21 days.
And that word prince alludes to a spiritual being or a fallen angel.
This is an understanding that we get from scripture. But you do have to believe in the spiritual aspects of scripture.
You can't.
You can't look at scripture from a. From a fleshly human perspective. You got to look at scripture from a spiritual perspective. And by the way, I don't know why anybody wouldn't look at scripture from a spiritual perspective.
Because the author of scripture is a spirit himself.
The Father is spirit.
And so the revelation of God is a spiritual revelation.
Make sense?
He says, say in the sixth angel, release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates. Well, if this is where the. If this is where the Garden of Eden is, this is where man fell, right?
This is where the first murder took place.
Am I right? This is also right in the same area where the great city of Babel was built and where the picture of pagan worship began with Nimrod and his wife and the great pagan religion which is all over the world today.
So these angels were bound there. Now notice how long they were bound there. It says, so the four angels who had been prepared for the hour and the day and the month and.
And the year. When were these angels bound?
Well, they were bound somewhat sometime way back before.
And they were bound there for what this time?
Right. Now that he's talking about what he sees, these angels have been bound there for this season.
That's interesting. Isn't.
Says here.
Now the.
And so the four angels who'd been prepared for the hour, day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.
Now,
if you know how to do the maths,
you can calculate this pretty easily.
Now, some folks calculate it, and I actually read somebody today who calculated it wrongly. Cause they can't do the math.
Okay, all right, let's do the math. And let's just use a real easy number to do the math with. It's 8 million.
Okay. All right.
There were already,
prior to this,
a Quarter of the world's population that were killed.
Now, a third of the world's population is going to be killed. So if you do the math the way they did the math, you would say a quarter and a third.
What is the common denominator?
12.
So you would have 3 and 4 12, and you'd add them together. So a 7 12th of the population would be killed. Right?
Wrong.
All right. That's not right.
All right, you got to say a fourth of the world's population is killed. When?
When the first event happens.
So a fourth of or One quarter of 8 billion people would be how many? If it were today,
2 billion. That would leave us 6 billion. Right.
And then if a third of 6 billion were killed, how many more would get killed?
Another 2 billion. That would be 2 plus 2. This is easy. 1. Okay. 2 plus 2 would be how many?
4. 4 out of 8 billion is what percentage?
Half. Not 58.3%,
but half.
All right,
so half of the world's population,
as a result of these trumpets being sounded,
are going to have been killed in modern numbers.
That is 4 billion people.
I'm going to say it again. That is 4 billion billion people.
God is avenging his blood and the blood of his saints on the whole Earth.
What do they do now? The number of the army of the Horsemen.
Remember horses?
Their power was 200 million. And I love this because it is 200.
Myria. Myria. That's what the Greek says. Okay. Myriad. A thousand.
And I always like to think of it this way because this is how you can do big, big numbers together. Just letting y' all know, okay?
Always look for hundreds and thousands. Why?
Because. What is a thousand thousands?
No. A thousand thousands.
It's a million.
What's a thousand thousand thousands.
It's a billion.
Okay.
All right.
What is. Here we go. What is a thousand thousand thousand thousands.
That's a trillion.
Now, we're going to need to know this number because our government's spending so much money. All right, what is a thousand thousand, thousand, thousand thousands?
It's a quadrillion. Okay? It's a quadrillion. That's the next number.
Some of us won't make it to that. But some in the room who are probably 30ish and lower,
they gonna hear quadrillion a lot in the future. Okay?
It's a big, big number.
The number of the Horsemen in this prophecy is 200 million.
Now you go. Well, Pastor, why is that a big deal?
Well, it's a real big deal because this was written 2000 years ago,
the population of the earth didn't reach 200 million till about 6 or 700 years ago,
if that.
So the number seemed at the time incomprehensible.
And if you read the book of the Revelation back then, you would say, this has to be something supernatural.
But once we got to 200 million, then people began to think, well, maybe it's possible that this could actually be something natural.
As you go today, I pray that.
The Lord will bless you and keep you you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus n
