This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.
Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.
I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.
I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.
His word to you and allow you.
To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name that.
And we're moving into verse 15. And verse 15 says the seventh angel sounded. This is the final trumpet. Okay? And so this is gonna begin another series of events,
and it's going to bring about another.
Now, remember, as we talked about last week, as you're studying through the revelation, each time you hit an event,
it's a time period that's going on. And you can kind of lay that down as a time period. And then the next thing that it talks about, it might be going on during the time period of the last thing.
It might be separate from it. It might be the whole thing. Well, obviously this chapter with chapter 11 and two witnesses, that takes place during the whole three and a half years of the Great Tribulation.
So that's one of those planks in this timeline. Y' all know how you see a timeline? You got a timeline and you know this was going on and this is going on during that timeline.
Well,
that's what's happening with the witness. Now the seven trumpets are taking place as a part of God's judgment of the Earth. Okay? The seals are being opened. Once the seventh seal was opened, then we've got the seven trumpets, and we're going to move into even more judgments.
And we are going to be given really. The next two chapters are really, really important, okay. Because we are going to be introduced to the final actors of the stage.
Of.
Of humans running the earth, or human beings being charge of the earth in the sense of us ruling the nations and Lucifer having his charge. God's gonna about to take control of it.
And so we're gonna get introduced to the final actors on that stage, the people who.
Well, it's the people who are ultimately the end times actors. It says the seventh angel sounded and there was a loud voice in heaven saying,
the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ.
And he shall reign forever and ever. What is he saying? This is an announcement, okay? That what's about to take place now. We are.
We are going to usher in what is known as the Millennial Kingdom, okay, and what do you mean, why Millennial Kingdom? Well, the promise, the covenant that was made with David is that his prodigy,
his son, someone in his line,
would rule as a Jewish king for a thousand years,
okay?
So he's going to rule as a Jewish king for a thousand years, and that person was the Messiah. And that is the final announcement, the final covenant that is given to us, the Davidic covenant.
And it's the announcement of there's going to be a throne of David. And on that throne of David will be a man,
Be a Jewish man,
a man from the tribe of.
Of Judah,
the root of David. And he will rule on his. On the throne as a earthly king for a thousand years,
okay? And that's what's known as the Millennial kingdom, okay? And that is the kingdom of Jesus on the Earth. Now, we're going to get to the new Jerusalem, and let me tell you something.
It's. It's more cool than really anything else. We're going to talk about almost,
okay?
Seeing God on his throne is really cool. Seeing Jesus in all the ways he presents himself in the book of the Revelation is really cool. But the place where we're going to be living,
y' all just don't even know.
I mean,
think about the nicest place you've ever lived, and that's going to be the bathroom in the main lobby.
Just think about that. It's not even going to be. It's not even comparable.
And you're going to see how uncomparable it is. Because.
Because when you see how big this new Jerusalem is,
it's. It's amazing. Anyway,
he says. He says the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord. Now, I want you to notice that he is talking about the kingdom of our Lord.
Okay?
Now let me give you a little principles here, because it's always good in your mind when you're thinking about scripture, you think about certain principles.
When I was younger, a younger pastor,
I got focused on the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God,
okay?
And I got focused on which one was which. And they had to mean something differently, okay?
And it led me down a pretty deep rabbit hole,
okay? And that rabbit hole turned out to be a dead end. And then I was just in a deep pole, okay? All right? I. You say, well, what happened when you got to the end of it.
Well, I had to climb out of it, okay, because it was not a good hole.
And you go, why is it not a good hole? Because they're the same thing.
And I finally came to the conclusion, the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven are the same thing.
They're the exact same thing. All right? And you go, why are you even bringing that up? Well, we've got here the kingdom of our Lord. And so now you could, if you wanted to, if you were going down that rabbit hole that I was going down, okay?
You're trying to come up with something new,
okay? If you were going down that rabbit hole with me on this one, you would say, oh, now we've got the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of our God. And I mean the kingdom of God and the kingdom of our Lord.
And then you'd be looking for new kingdoms all over the place. Okay, I. I want you to listen to me.
This is important,
all right?
Everything ultimately comes back to the preeminence of God himself.
Are you following me?
So if you're trying to come up with things that are broken off of that,
I want you to hear me, that there is a unity of God. That's important.
Hear, O Israel,
the Lord our God. The Lord is one.
Okay?
And. And that principle is important when you're thinking about God. Okay?
God is a triune God. He exists in three persons,
but he is one unto himself. And that's why he's given us. Us as a picture of how he is three in one. And you're three in one.
You are. You have a soul,
you have a spirit, and you have a body.
And we call all of this spirit, soul and body package right here,
okay?
Which used to be a nice package. And it's gotten old and tattered. Okay, all right. A little swollen. All right.
This package right here is Chad,
right? It's the Chad package right here. And then we got the Jimmy package and the Kathleen,
and. And. And that. And we call you. You're one person, right?
And yet there's three aspects to you, okay?
There are three aspects to how you relate to the world and how you live. You have a soul, which is your will.
You have a body, which is your physical manifestation. And you have a spirit which God has given you,
which is the connection to the eternal and the power of God.
Knowing that is important.
Knowing that God the Father is the.
Is the will of the Father. Knowing those things brings you back to one.
You know, when we're talking about the Fruit of the spirit. A lot of people you'll hear,
especially in Alabama,
they'll talk about the fruits of the spirit.
How many of y' all ever heard of the fruits of the spirit? All right,
and, and, and obviously. Cause we got lots of fruits down here, right? You want to have all the different fruits in your bag, right?
Well, it's not the fruits of the spirit.
It is the fruit of the spirit. It's one fruit,
okay? And it manifests itself in the ways that it says, love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faith from the genitals of self control. Okay? Going through all that, there's eight of them.
All right? But if you're talking about spiritual gifts, if you go through there's list of spiritual gifts, right?
Every list of spiritual gift has got some gift different than the other list,
okay? Which means what the spirit's doing,
but the spirit,
the work of the Spirit is one.
Does that make sense?
It's under the unified will of the Father, the plan of God, all of it is one.
And that helps you because you'll start trying to figure out and divide things up.
Does that make sense?
And to make things different,
and sometimes it leads you down trails that get you caught up in dividing rather than what is unifying in God.
Does that make sense to you?
So he says there's going to be a unity of kingdoms,
meaning there's the kingdom of God,
and there are kingdoms on this earth.
And the kingdom of our Lord, which is Jesus, is going to reign and control and be over and become over every kingdom that exists.
He is going to reign over everything.
And the plan of God is for that to take place.
So when you're all worried about whatever you hear on the news as to this kingdom or that kingdom,
and it gets you all bent out of shape, and I'm sure y' all have all been. Been out of shape today,
you know, because, you know,
well, just, you know, President went against what everybody thought and called Zelensky,
you know, a dictator.
You know,
you know, if you'll notice,
if you'll notice,
everybody gets all upset about it. I'm giving you this for a reason.
There's a reason why Trump's doing that. Because we all want to be on one side.
Are you following me?
And what he's saying is, is both sides have caused $2 million. I mean, caused a couple of million lives to be lost,
and it's time for that to be over.
And so he's doing what a good negotiator's doing. If y' all keep on Then you're going to lose and you gonna lose and we're gonna make sure you lose. Or you can stop so that we can he is unifying.
I want you to hear me.
God's plan is at work all the time.
It's at work all the time. And by the way, Russia is in the end times, it's mentioned,
okay?
Way before it ever existed as a nation,
okay?
The Prince of Rosh has been there for a long, long time.
I want you to hear me.
The historical home of Russia is what city?
It's not Moscow, it's Kiev.
Kiev is the founding capital of the Rus Vikings or the Russians.
Okay?
All right.
And in the end times, there isn't a.
That's not an issue.
There's going to be Russia, there's going to be Persia, there's going to be Israel,
there's going to be Egypt,
there's going to be. There, there. There's going to be Libya, there's going to be Turkey.
All these nations are mentioned,
okay?
So when it gets to this end times, and I'm giving you this for a reason,
when it gets to the end times, God's putting the pieces together so that he ends it where he's in charge.
Are you following me? Exactly the way he says he wants it to be?
And you don't have to get all bent out of shape because there's going to be wars and rumors of wars and nations rise against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms. He calls kings to rise and fall.
I'm quoting you scripture,
okay?
And in the end, you know who's going to be the king?
Jesus is going to be the king. And he's going to be the king for a true Pox Israeli or Pox Hebrew or Pax Israeli or whatever. He's going to. There's going to be a true.
You going. What are you talking about? Pax. Pax Romana. Where the Roman Empire ruled for a thousand years, but it didn't rule the whole world.
He's going to rule the whole world for a thousand years. And it's going to be. Pax means peace.
He's going to rule a peace,
peaceful world for a thousand years.
And that's what's being announced here.
This is what is about to take place from here on to the end of the book of the Revelation is the bringing about of the kingdom of God.
We went around a whole big old circle to get there. But I wanted you to hear that the kingdom of this world have become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ.
And he shall reign forever and ever and he shall reign forever and Amen.
That's good stuff, right?
I can only sing that much.
As you go today. I pray that the Lord will bless.
You and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today. In Jesus name.
