This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day,

especially today,

in Jesus name.

She bore a child.

Who is the child?

Well, we've been introduced to Israel. We've been introduced to Satan. Now we're being introduced to Jesus. How do I know he was to rule all the nations with a rod of iron?

Meaning he's got all authority.

Pastor, you shouldn't be talking about that. That's some racist stuff you're talking about. No,

no.

By the way, I don't know if y' all know it or not, but racism is really a Western understanding.

Y' all do know that, right?

People in the world identify themselves from their heritage as far as their tribe,

not whether they're white or black or red or yellow.

Y' all do know that, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

If you go to Romania,

they're not interested in whether or not you're white. They're interested in whether or not you're Romanian.

Makes sense, doesn't it?

Moses married a black woman.

It says he took a kushite bride.

If you've been to Kush, which is the southern part or the headwaters of the Nile river,

it's all Ethiopians.

Okay?

Black.

Miriam and Aaron murmured against Moses because she. Now, listen to me. It's obvious. You go, why did they murmur against him?

Well, the next.

The next part of the verse is because he took a cush wife.

Huh?

Yeah. There's always been a bunch of murmuring out there.

And what did God do? He called them in.

He said, you weren't afraid to speak against my man Moses. Because, by the way, he's the only one came up there and talked to me face to face.

Right?

Bible says the Shekinah glory came upon them. And when it came off, Miriam had leprosy,

which means she was the gossiper.

All right? Aaron just let her do it.

Then Aaron prayed and asked Moses to pray to heal her, and he did.

I'm just telling you because I know where we growed up.

Are you following me?

So are you telling me that they murmured against Moses because his wife was darker than them?

Yeah.

And God didn't like it?

I'm just trying to hurt your feelings as much as possible tonight.

She bore a male child. He was to rule over the nations with a rod of iron. And? And her child was caught up to God and his throne,

which means he didn't get to do it.

He didn't devour him. He didn't eat him up.

And he was caught up to heaven and to his throne, meaning the throne that was already set aside for him. What throne is that? The throne of David.

News flash.

Just because we're doing it. David was a Jew. Okay. Just letting you know.

Okay. He's from the tribe of Judah.

Just throwing it out there.

All right.

So, yeah, I'm just giving you the thing.

You'll hear it from good, solid Gentiles.

Yeah.

There's churches that teach this.

Absolutely, they do.

All right.

The woman fled into the wilderness.

All right. When did this happen? Remember, I'm telling you, he gives you tidbits of information about how things are working.

When she has a place prepared by God. Where she has a place prepared by God that they should feed her there.

12, 60 days.

Where did I hear that?

Well, it happened in the chapter before.

It must be during the same time period where the prophets are prophesying.

12, 60 days.

Marry them up.

When did this happen?

During the Great Tribulation.

Who is they that feeds her?

Isn't that what we've been talking about?

Who takes care of Israel during the Great Tribulation?

The angelic host.

Which angelic host? Satan's.

No,

not Satan's.

Michaels.

Yeah, Satan's. Falling helicopters.

You know, the Bible teaches you not to fly.

Y' all know that, right?

He said. And lo, I'm with you always. He didn't say hi.

But, lo,

I'm with you. All right.

All right. Another.

What time is it?

All right, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going. I don't care what it. All right.

And a war broke out in heaven.

Now he's going back.

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought.

When did this happen?

Well,

Jesus said, I saw Satan fall like a star from heaven.

Right.

When did that happen?

Before Jesus.

So that means that. That means that whatever this is talking about is talking about an event before Jesus.

So the war in heaven has already been fought,

it says, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them. In heaven any longer, which means they didn't have the right to be in heaven.

Now, does Satan have a right to approach God?

Yes. God grants him a right to approach God. Approach him.

Okay,

but they don't have a. They no longer have a place in heaven, which means they no longer have intimacy with God.

Does God's creation still commune with God even though it's broken?

Yeah.

Yeah.

All right,

so the great.

The great dragon was cast out.

That serpent of old called the devil or Satan,

who deceived the whole world.

He was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him.

So what is Satan doing now?

He's deceiving the whole world.

Okay,

he's deceiving the world.

How does he deceive them?

By telling them everything that is not true about God.

How do we not be deceived?

By studying the Word.

You got to know the Word so that you're not deceived.

Okay.

He is the accuser of the brethren.

He's the one who constantly accuses you of your sin,

which is no longer held against you.

Okay.

He's the accuser of the brethren.

Satan still plays a role today.

Jesus said, came to them and said, all authority in heaven, on earth been given to me, therefore go under my authority.

All right.

So do we have authority over Satan?

Oh, yeah.

Yes.

In the things we're going and doing by his commands.

Now, do I have authority over Satan over China?

No. Unless, you know, I'm. Maybe. Maybe I'm the.

Maybe I'm the ambassador to China.

Might I have a little authority then? Maybe.

Maybe. Maybe I might.

I.

Maybe. You got to consider that.

I found that Christians love to get caught up in praying for authorities they don't have and don't act in authority they do have.

That really hurts, don't it?

Because if I pray for.

If I pray for something that I don't have authority over, I can say, well, you know, that's up to God. And, you know, I got to do.

If it don't work out, well, God must not want it to work out.

Rather than operating in the authority that you do have.

You have authority. In fact, Jesus sent the disciples out and gave them authority. When they came back, they told him how they operated in that authority and that Satan fell and he rejoiced.

Why? Because they operated in.

In the sending that Jesus had given them. He. They were sent out to. Do you have authority?

What do you have authority over?

Well, what have you taken?

What. What have you taken by. By faith that God has given you?

Remember,

God gives you gifts,

and you have to operate in the authority over those gifts. I just give you a little straight Bible that comes from the legal code,

a gift.

In order for it to fully be a gift,

it has to be intended.

It's Ida. Y' all think this. Okay,

it has to be intended,

delivered,

and accepted.

Does that make sense to you?

If you don't.

Now, I want you to hear me.

We've used that to mean being born again.

We call it being saved. But it's. But when you say that, that's really to be born again.

Accept or receive.

So all those things can be accepted or received or not.

And an unaccepted gift loses its power. It has no power as a gift.

And he gives good gifts to his children.

So you got to accept them or not.

Now, I'm going to tell you, in life, it's. It's a pretty hard process to get where I'm accepting them.

I mean, you know, you got to get good at it.

And then how do I use them so that I fully accept them in their fullness?

Yeah,

yeah. All those things, all you're. What you're thinking,

yeah,

a gift from God is to be used in my mission.

And we all have a mission. We all have a purpose, a reason.

So what is your gift? What is your reason? And are you walking in it?

And these are great questions to ask of yourself.

Okay?

And the more you walk in them, and the longer you walk in them,

the more authority you operate in.

So you ought to start doing it now.

And by the way, some of that gets passed on to your children and grandchildren.

That anointing gets passed on.

Did y' all know that?

It does.

So you need to start walking in that anointing, too,

which is a gift,

so it can get passed on to your children and your grandchildren. You go, my children are just, you know, sorry as I'll get out.

Okay, fine.

It's probably because you were sorry as I'll get at some point in time. You know what I'm saying?

Okay, you go, well, it's all over with. That's listening to the devil.

He's accusing you of what you were sorry about. And then you turn around, accuse them of being sorry.

If you think about it, it's just plain sorry.

Don't do that.

You mean I can.

I can walk in anointing now and it can flow down even to some knuckleheaded children and grandchildren? Yes.

Yes,

it can.

So if I start at 60, I'm going to do some. Yeah, you're going to do. If I start at 70, I'm going to do some good.

Yeah, 80. Yeah.

Whenever you start walking in it, it starts getting passed down.

Just gets passed down.

You going, I don't even know. Yeah, that's because you're listening to the devil.

I'm just being real with you now.

All this, all this, I,

it's all lost.

That's just from the devil because he knows everything. So he knows where to, he knows to hit you, right, right between the eyes.

And you got to be hit at some point in time to realize that the punch is coming,

you know.

But when you get punched between the eyes,

listening to it no more,

which ain't easy.

And by the way, you don't know when somebody's going to get it.

So quit being so fatalistic about everything.

Just a little word on the side.

I can't believe how many Christians are fatalistic about their life and their children's lives and their grandchildren.

You don't know.

I mean, I had a conversation today with a group of folks. They said, well, she went to rehab and she came back and got right back on the dope.

What dope was she on? Meth. Okay, well, that's pretty common.

In fact, I tell you what,

let me know once she gets back from rehab. Three or four times,

right?

Might take three or four times for method.

Yeah, some rough stuff.

Should I be fatalistic about it? No. Did she come home and stay off of it for two months? Three months, four months, five months. Great.

You go. She got right back on it. Sorry, daughter of mine.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She got to go back.

Just keep going back.

You'll be shocked.

It's got to be Christian based. But if they go back enough,

they'll get it.

Well, you do the same thing.

I mean, God's been doing that with you for a long time.

It ain't myth,

it's probably hard headedness. You know,

you've been hard headed about a bunch of stuff.

Quit being fatalistic about everybody else.

Quit listening to that mess.

God will work it out.

He will.

And you go, well, I just messed up. I wish I hadn't. I know you wish you hadn't a whole bunch of stuff.

Quit dwelling on that.

You know the devil's after me now. I'm telling you how the devil has authority. I'm telling you so you know.

But I want you to hear me. The devil doesn't have authority over you.

You give him access to you, but he don't have Authority over you.

If you're born again, you. He has no authority over you.

He has none.

And if you got children who are in the pig pen and they were born again at some point in time,

he has no authority over them. They just. In the pig pen.

Make sense.

Just keep walking, trusting God.

Guy in the pig pen woke up and figured it out.

You will too.

You did. They will give them time.

So many times, so many situations. Negative, negative, negative, negative.

Now listen, if you come from in front of me and you and you've got a possession,

control substance charge,

I'm gonna send you to rehab.

They take your children because you own the meth or the cocaine or the heroin or whatever,

I'm gonna make you go to rehab.

Not cause I don't like you.

Cause you gotta get off of it.

Well, I mean, that's been true of a whole lot of stuff, right?

I mean, me and my parents,

we battled for three solid years.

Which kit,

there's some guy on YouTube that gets up there and talks about different words and how, how you're supposed to pronounce.

Yeah,

well, I mean, my mama could have just said, well, he's just going to be learning disabled for his whole life.

He's just a dummy.

Listen, they, they tested me for,

for learning disability.

I was the only person ever go to through Peter Crumb that was tested for learning disability. And then in the sixth grade tested for gifted.

All right,

if she'd give up, I'd, I, I wouldn't be here.

You can't give up.

And you can't act like you know the, the whole story because you don't know the whole story makes sense.

So we got to think about these things. And when we see people,

you'll see people that are in really, really bad shape.

But I'll see people that later on are in great shape.

And sometimes I'll see people are in bad shape,

get in great shape,

slip back down to bad shape,

get back up to good shape,

slip not quite as far, but still bad,

back up to good.

And that happens in the course of about five or six Sundays on Sunday morning. You know what I'm talking about?

That'll happen just on,

you know, just in July for some people.

Right?

All right. You thought I was talking about rehab, didn't you?

I was talking about rehab.

I think my jail.

Yeah, I love rehab. You know why I love rehab?

Because it worked for one.

I know more than one. But when I figured out it worked for one,

it was worth it,

right?

Yeah, it's worked for one.

Well, you confessed it. She said, I've been here. Been three times. Well, you know what?

That's how it works.

That's how it works.

You got to know that.

You never can tell.

And that's what we're in business for, right?

Yeah.

Keep.

Keep moving,

keep going.

And eventually you'll see God.

You'll see him as you go. Today I pray that the Lord will.

Bless you and keep you. That he'll make his face to shine upon you. And that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
