This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.

His word to you and allow you.

To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name.

Well, I've got a couple of things to say and I do need to. I do need to spend some time talking about this, mainly because what I'm going to talk about in the revelation, I don't know what it means.

All right. And so that's going to be very helpful.

And so the first thing I'd like to say is that I think Ms. Diane ought to take that screwdriver to that Mustang.

And second,

if you'll take that screwdriver, that Mustang, we can put it in the parade next year. Okay. All right. And then you could go up there and help her about with a screwdriver, and I think we'd be good to go.

That's really a cool story.

The second thing is that.

And I've got a confirmation here in the Bible,

in the meal portion of something that Kathleen instructed me on last week after I left here.

And she sometimes instructs me on things that I didn't explain well enough for everybody to understand.

And so she did that last week. And sometimes I listen,

but mainly I listen when somebody else comes and tells me it's the same thing. I get that confirmation, you know, the confirmation to make sure that's what I need to say.

But the confirmation for tonight is last week I was talking about the passage where God says,

if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Understanding that salvation is that process.

So it's not an event.

It's not where you gotta come down and say the right words in order for God to make you saved. Okay?

Salvation is a process.

Being justified before God is an event that takes place by the work of the Holy Spirit. That you don't know when that happens.

Okay.

You may realize it's happened when it happens, but you don't know when it's going to happen. And you don't know when it's gonna happen in anybody else's life.

And Kathleen said this,

and the one who seconded it said the word confess oftentimes in our, in our,

you know, Christian Southern culture oftentimes connotates or, you know, you, you have the, you have the connotation of it meaning confess your sins,

okay? Or confession of sins. The word confess does not mean that, okay? The word confess means to tell.

All right,

then if I'm going to confess my sin, it would be to tell my sin, okay? To confess the Lord Jesus would be to tell someone what,

how Jesus is your Lord,

okay?

And obviously His Lordship involves him being over your life and telling you what to do with your life, right? And so if, if, if Jesus speaks to your heart about something,

you should,

you should tell it. You should tell someone.

You should confess him being your Lord.

And it does two things. First of all,

it unleashes something powerful,

okay? And I'm gonna get to that. But second of all,

it concretes that truth in your life,

okay? Because when you tell someone,

then you're confirming it and it's,

it makes it something that you remember to walk in,

okay? So it's powerful in that when I confess something or when I tell somebody something that Jesus or God is doing in my life or something that he's spoken in my life, it's powerful because of that.

Now the second part of about it is,

and this is teachings of Jesus. James talks about the power of the tongue.

It's a New Testament idea that is found in Corinthians, is found everywhere, that the words you speak are powerful,

okay? Especially when you speak spiritual things that God has said,

okay? So if I speak a spiritual truth that God says to me, my words have power.

The tongue is super powerful power. Powerful to what, destroy and to tear down and powerful to build up or to, to,

to,

to grab hold to the promises of God, the things that God has said to you,

all right? And so when you speak, your words are powerful and you need to understand that because your words, your words unveil what you, what you actually believe,

okay?

Your words speak out what you believe.

And so it's. We're not talking about magic spells.

We're talking about when you speak as a born again,

spirit filled believer,

your words have influence over the world you live in.

And so you need to learn to speak life,

you need to learn to speak lordship, you need to learn to speak the promises of God out of your mouth.

You need to tell people things,

listen, tell people Things that God has told you, spiritual things,

you need to speak those things into their lives.

And if you don't do that on a regular basis, I'm going to tell you you have limited the environment you live in as far as its spiritual effectiveness because you're not telling things out in the world that you're in,

which is causing change to take place around you.

You got to speak spiritual truths,

you gotta speak em out of your mouth.

And your tongue is powerful for that.

It's powerful to destroy. And a lot of Christians use it to destroy, but they don't use it to build.

And when, so when I speak and I have literally the power of God inside of me, I have the Holy Spirit living in me, which is communing with the my Spirit.

So when I have that power in me and I speak and agree with God,

confess agreement with God about something,

then that's powerful and you need to be doing that.

God tells you of something about somebody that you know around you. Something, something that's something that may be a word of knowledge or it may be, it may be wisdom or it may be, or it may be a word of encouragement, or it may, or it may be a word of instruction.

Okay,

you need to speak that to those folks.

You need to tell them,

you need to talk it out of your mouth.

And if you don't do that,

if you don't do that, you are limiting the environment you live in.

Heavily,

heavily limiting the environment you live in.

Because you're not building, you're not building a spiritual foundation in the world around you.

Now you're going.

Are you talking about voodoo, Pat? No, I'm not talking about that. Okay?

We're not talking about hocus pocus, okay?

That's not, that's not,

that's not what we're talking about.

What we're talking about is you speaking agreement with what God is revealing to you in his word needs to be told to folks.

And so when you don't do that,

you miss out. And when you do that, you build out, you build things up.

So when he says confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has given him the power over the over death.

When I do that,

I am saved.

I am made in his likeness.

My heart and my mind are made in his likeness.

Now let me ask you something. How many times during the day do you actually confess something to someone? Speak it out to someone.

I've learned to do it.

Just do it.

God tells me something about somebody, I just tell them it's going great.

He seems to put me in position where I can tell folks stuff all the time.

It's worked out pretty good, hasn't it?

More things he does.

How much do you agree with God? Out in the open all the time.

You know when you come up here and tell me, Pastor, when you said this, this is what God was telling me, or this is what. This is what.

This is. This is what I got out of it.

That's confession right there. Powerful, powerful right there.

Okay.

And you're going, well, does it help you?

My. Probably, yeah. But. But mainly you,

right?

All right, y' all ready for the part I have no idea about?

Okay, let's read it. This is actually.

This is actually for. For us Americans. Okay? For us Americans.

This is. This is the. The we're in the passage that if we're in here,

this is it.

Okay, Now, I'm probably going to dimuse you of that thought, but if you're going to say, where are we in the end times?

This is the only place that's even close to describing anything that might be us. Are you ready?

And every time I. I've talked to my bro, my. My middle brother about this, and I say, well, I'm not sure America's in there, he always brings up this verse.

Well, don't it say in the Revelation this.

So we're going to deal with it, okay? All right. Verse 13, chapter 12.

Now, when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth,

he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.

Now, listen,

that's obvious.

That's been going on ever since Jesus.

Jesus was in the temple, telling them that the temple was going to be destroyed and not one stone was going to be left on it.

Okay? Now, I want you to hear me,

one of the things that you can for sure point to and say, there has to be a God. That. Because of that, if you're looking for physical evidence,

all you gotta do to give physical evidence of the existence of God is say, what about the Jews?

Okay? That's all you gotta say.

You following me?

Because from the time they left Egypt and went into the promised land until today,

somebody has been trying to kill them the whole time.

Okay? They've been taken into captivity,

they have been subjugated, they have been spread all over the world,

and they are still together, and they're still a people group.

And you go, well, there's other people groups like that. No,

there's not.

No, they're not. No,

no, there's not. Not even close okay.

If you look at my 23andMe profile,

I come from lots of people groups.

I'm an amalgamation of multiple people groups. Okay? All right? And I promise you, unless you're a Jew,

okay,

you're an amalgamation of a whole bunch of people groups.

You are.

You are not a pure blooded from this tribe people group at all.

100% Jewish.

Now, how.

How.

If you studied world jewelry history,

Jewish history,

how they made it so that they are actually a people group with. With 100% Jewish people in it is amazing.

Shocking.

We've got a whole word that means kill the Jews called pogrom. It's a. The there. We have a word that means to kill as many Jews as you can. It's called a program.

Okay? That's what they used to have in Europe when they. Yes, sir.

Po.

Now asking me to spell some Norma. I'm just.

Or a country or a kingdom was having a problem.

They. They would all say somebody did it.

And it was always the Jews.

Okay? The Jews did it. So we need to kill them and kick them out.

Now, I'm telling you this because you need to hear it.

That's been going on for 3,500 years.

P O G R O N pogrom.

Okay?

How they exist to this day is only.

There's only one explanation.

God.

That's it.

No other explanation.

All right? And by the way, they have to exist till the end.

Why?

Because I don't know if you noticed it or not. They're major player in this book. That's the book about the end,

right?

All right,

so when.

When the woman who gave birth to the child. Who's the child? Jesus. Who's the woman?

Israel.

Just letting you know as you go. Today, I pray that the Lord will.
