I am Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and had been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. The purpose of studying scripture is that you might know the character of Jesus Christ, and that you might see the world from the Father's perspective. That you gain wisdom that changes your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open His word to you and allow you to see Him and to know Him. To know His will, that you might glorify Him and that you might walk in faith and power each day, especially today. In Jesus name.

This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.
Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.
I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.
I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day,
especially today in Jesus name.
It says, now, the beast which I saw was like a leopard.
His feet were like a bear,
and his mouth like the mouth of a lion.
All right, now this is an allusion back. And remember, there's one book in the Bible that's really good to read to understand the book of the Revelation as far as its symbology and everything else, and that's the book of Daniel.
All right,
now this is an allusion back to three empires,
okay? The first empire, the leopard. Anybody know who that is?
Huh?
No, no, Brett, not the leopard tanks. No, no,
the leopard. Leopard. And Daniel.
No, no, no, no.
I taught y' all this.
Who, Matt.
No, it's not Nebuchadnezzar. He's the line.
Alexander the Great. Very good. Alexander the Great.
Alexander the Great is a leopard. By the way, if you watch the movie Alexander,
which is not really good, but I had to watch it because it was about Alexander, you know, I had to watch it. But in the movie, he wears a leopard's head and a leopard skin on him.
And by the way, that's exactly how he came. And in Daniel,
the leopard, that.
That. That is a. That is a illusion to the Babylonian empire, okay? Not the Babylon.
And the other one is he has a mouth that speaks spiritual things,
because remember,
lions are spiritual powers.
Satan's described as a lion.
Jesus is described. An empire had close to a million men.
Okay,
all right.
So understanding that he. He is.
Notice it is alluding back to Daniel, but it's also alluding back to the empires that Daniel predicted.
And the reason people didn't believe, and I know many of you weren't here for Daniel, but the reason that many people didn't believe that Daniel was a real book, that it was written a long time after, is because of that prophecy.
That prophecy of the four beasts describes the four progressive empires of the ancient world in such detail.
And so exactly that Many believe that Daniel couldn't have been written when Daniel actually lived.
Yeah, but especially that one.
Especially that one.
All right,
So I don't even know what time it is. Don't tell me. 8:30. All right.
6:57.
And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded,
right?
Now listen to me, that ain't Trump. He just got his ear shot off. Okay?
I've not said it. It's already out there. Nothing I can do about it. All right,
all right.
He actually gets hit in the head with a mortal wound.
All right?
And look, that can be one of two things. That could be one of his power, one of the. One of his nations that he rules,
that he somehow brings about healing in.
That's probably not the interpretation, but I want you to hear that. That could be the interpretation.
All right? The other interpretation is, is that he actually has a mortal wound,
okay. And that that mortal wound is healed. One that is obvious should kill him.
Okay.
All right.
Very, very, very understandable, by the way.
By the way,
I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I am because I'm such.
Christians believed, meaning when I say Protestant Christians believed, was the Antichrist good looking and he was a war hero and his head couldn't handle a bullet, so that wasn't him.
It's just the truth.
And they still won't release all the records on it, will they?
No matter who says release them, they just say we ain't doing it.
It's amazing how many people in the government ain't doing what they supposed to be doing. Am I right?
So I want you to hear that. I want you to hear that because it's important. And you go, why would you even say that? Because it's real important that you remember over the years we have, Christians have said, that's ishaam.
This is when it's happening. It's going on over here.
And then it wasn't.
There were Christians.
You need to hear this.
Some of my brethren from my denomination who believed that he would be resurrected after he was shot in Dallas.
Did y' all know that?
Yes, they did.
Yes, they did.
Because they thought he was the Antichrist.
And why am I telling you that? Because you can get easily. And I try to, especially as I'm teaching through the Revelation, is to not. I try not to be.
So this is how, what it's got to be,
because that is the easy way and it's been the historic way to take Christians,
hook them in and drag them off to places they shouldn't go rather than. And get them focused on things that they shouldn't be focused on.
Should we focus on the revelation? Sure. We should know this. We should know. Understand these things. But should it be the nucleus of everything we're doing?
No, because then we're trying to be like Satan. We're trying to know something in the future that we don't truly know.
We need to be about the business of the church and know these things so that we will be ready. We're to be ready. We're to be on. We, we're, we're.
We're to be understanding about these things,
but we're not to be dragged away by them.
Okay.
And to tell you the truth,
the real reason I love to teach through the revelation is because it's got all the symbolism that explains so many things in the rest of scripture.
It just explains things so well in scripture using the imagery. Imagery, okay.
And so it, it has great value for us as the church. In fact, it's a special blessing for reading it. Right? For studying it.
But it's not.
It is what God has planned for us down the road.
And I'm going to end with this because it is a plague that the church generally has.
Okay.
We live our whole lives in expectation of what's coming next,
such that we don't live in the moment that God's given us today.
Okay.
And therefore what's coming next is never quite as good as it would have been if we did not worried about that and focused on being prepared today to be who we're supposed to be.
And so that's what scripture really is about.
And I'm going to go into picture of the Holy Spirit actually gives you insights in the Holy Spirit, you know,
because it's just if you're going to imitate the Holy Spirit and you're one of the beings in the world, that's not God,
who would.
Well, when he, when he, when he does the job of counterfeiting, he's really good at it.
He's really good at it.
And that ought to keep you in God's word more than anything.
Because Satan is a counterfeiter of God's word.
And if he thought he could counterfeit God's Word,
package it up and sell it to Jesus in the wilderness, I can guarantee you this. He's sending you Amazon prime packages all the time.
Are you following me?
And if that don't get me banned, I don't know what will.
It don't matter.
It don't matter at all.
So. So we'll. We'll. We'll finish out this beast because there's a little bit more about him, and then we'll move on into the next beast next week. How's that sound to y'?
All?
As you go today, I pray that.
The Lord will bless you and keep you. That he'll make his face to shine upon you and. And that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
