This is Chad Harrison and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life. Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today.

In Jesus name he says, and he was given a mouth, speaking great things of blas. Great things and blasphemies. And he was given authority to continue to 42 for 42 months, which means he is going to. He is going to be on the scene as the major political and military.

Force in the world for 42 months, which is the end, which is the.

Time of the great tribulation, the last three and a half years of the seven year trivial tribulation, okay?

And he is going to speak great.

Things and he's going to speak blasphemies, which means he's going to tell you great stuff and he's going to tell you stuff that is clearly detestable to God.

That's what a blasphemy is, okay? He's going to tell you stuff that.

Is blasphemous and he's going to tell you stuff that is against Jesus because he is going to himself claim to be Jesus. Okay? Now when you think about that, is there anybody like that now? No. So he hasn't been revealed. Thessalonians says. Second Thessalonians says he'll be revealed. Do y' all know anybody like that?

No, I don't know anybody like that. I, I don't. I don't know anybody like that. So if they tell you, it could.

Happen any day now.

Well, we're going to need at least one day to figure out who it is before it starts. Okay? All right. I mean, if, if, if, you know.

I'm not discounting God, God could unveil.

It to all of us at one time, okay?

But the truth is, is that he hadn't.

You know, we don't have anybody that fits this description. Nobody on the world stage.

Nobody. And quit picking people who are obviously defective, okay? And I'm being real with you. Are you following me? And when I say defective, this guy is perfectly Good looking, perfectly charismatic, perfectly powerful, perfectly knowledgeable. Are you with me now? We run into people that are that fit some of those descriptions. And we've had world leaders. You know, Barack Obama was extremely charismatic, Extremely charismatic. But he was lazy and he had to have a third term to try to get his agenda cross. I'm just being real with you. I'm just being real with you. I love our president today, but he's got a big mouth sometimes, you know what I'm saying? And he's definitely not beloved by everybody, so it can't be him. Are you with me now? I think he is probably one of the most intelligent men to ever be in the White House. His plans, if you really know what he's doing right now, I'm sitting there amazed by it. And I've listened to his major advisors.

About what he's doing, some of the.

Most ingenious ideas ever. But he's hated by everybody, so he.

Can'T be the Antichrist.

So I've thrown out the Democrat, major Democrat and a major Republican, so it can't be us. And this dude's going to be over our military if he's coming right now. So it ain't happening today. That makes sense, doesn't it? It ain't happening right now. It ain't going to go on. Leave it alone.

Okay? Let's wait a few years.

I'm not saying it ain't gonna happen. Two, three, four years just ain't happening right now. It says, then he opened his mouth, verse 6. Then he opened his mouth and blasphemy against God to blaspheme his name, his tabernacle and those who dwell in heaven. So he is going to be clearly and openly anti Christian. He's going to blaspheme God. He's going to blaspheme his temple, okay?

His tabernacle, his dwelling place. Let's just use the word as it is. He's going to. He's going to blaspheme God, his dwelling.

Place and his people.

Okay?

All right.

He is going to be openly and obviously anti biblical Christian. Okay?

Now at the same time, because you need to hear this, that same book of two Thessalonians. And I know I'm keeping going back.

To it because I want you.

First of all, it'd be nice for you to spend time studying it. It's just one chapter. I think it's chapter two. Okay.

It'd be nice for you to go.

Through and see how it works. But he is easily explained in Revelation as Being anti our present understanding of Christianity. Okay, that being said, he is going to be the key religious leader in the world. He is going to sit on a throne in the holy of holies in the new temple that's built in Jerusalem. All right? And the only way for him to do that is that he be allowed to do it by three groups of people.

The Muslims got to let him, the.

Jews got to let him, and those people who claim to be Christians have to let him. And you saying, are there people who claim to be Christians in the end times? Well, go back to second Thessalonians and it says. Yeah, it says those who refuse to believe in him are sent a delusion so that they might believe the lie. What lie? The lie of the Antichrist. So those who claim to be Christians but do not believe, do not have faith.

We call them cultural Christians.

Those who claim to be Christians but do not actually believe in Christ as presented to us in the Bible. You need to hear that. Isn't that what Jesus said? He said, if you abide in me and my word abides in you. Isn't that what we studied this Sunday?

Okay.

All right. This person is going to be claim, claim the role of Christ because he's going to blaspheme Christ and claim to be Christ, but he is going to reject all that is taught about Christ in his word. How do we keep from being led astray? Well, it's easy. Abide in my word, meaning remain, live, tabernacle, hang out in my word.

All right, I'm going to talk about a little bit in that, A little bit more in detail because I was asked to do that last this week. And I think that, that asking of me was a very good, good, good question. And I think it needs to be dealt with. How do I abide in God's word? Okay. How do I meditate on God's word? And, and it means more than just meditating on the words.

Okay. All right.

Remember, the word of God are the thoughts of God or the understandings of God. So we're going to talk about a little bit about that before we move on Sunday morning.

But that being said, that being said.

There are going to be people who.

Are sin of delusion so that they'll believe the lie of the Antichrist because.

They have rejected faith in Jesus Christ.

And those are all that have heard the good news and rejected it.

Which, if you take all the Christians out of America. Are you following me?

Then what group of people is most likely, most likely to have heard the gospel and rejected it.

Which nation?

If you take all the Christians out.

Of the world, which nation is most.

Likely to have heard the gospel and.

Rejected it so that they would be.

Sent a delusion so they might believe a lie? It would be us. We'd have the highest population of people.

Who believe the delusion, wouldn't we?

Yeah.

I'm hurting Brett's feelings real bad. He thought the wings of the eagles was us, but it don't seem to be working out that way.

Okay, all right.

I'm just messing with him, spider monkey as he is.

All right. He says. He says he blasphemes them. Verse 7. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Now, who are those?

Those are the people who the 144,000 preacher boys have preached the gospel to.

Who have not heard the gospel prior to the tribulation and who receive it in the world. Now, I want you to hear me. That group of people is very likely to be not in the western hemisphere and very poor.

Yeah. Africa, Asia, those areas where the preacher boys go out and preach and they can't be touched and they can't be harmed, and they go and preach the good news to the world. And it has to be people who've never heard the gospel. So those people that are going to believe during the. During the end, during the tribulation.

Those.

People are going to be. Well, they're going to be people who are not privy to the Internet, the knowledge that we have here. They're going to be people who. Who are in different spots in the world that are isolated. Okay.

All right. It says he was granted to make war against the saints and to overcome them. And the authority was given over every tribe, tongue, and nation. Now what does that mean? Well, that means that he's going to be in charge of the world. He is going to be in some way controlling of most of the world. All right?

He's going to have power over most of the world.

And you go, well, how can that be?

Well, I can tell you this. If there's, you know, 8 billion people in the world, and 4 billion of them are Christians, Muslims, and Jewish people.

And let's say out of the 2.

Billion Christians that are in the world, half of them aren't actually believers, then he's going to. You take the 1 billion out, you got 7 billion.

He's already in charge of the other 3 billion.

And by the way, the Hindus and the. And the Buddhists are going to follow him also. Okay. Even though they're not monotheistic religions. They're going to follow him.

Their religious leaders are going to follow him.

And so if I control all the major world religions and I control the.

Greatest military in the world, and by.

The way, if you were to control the United States, you would control the greatest economy in the world. Walking away with it, too. Y' all do hear me on that, right? Walking away with it, too.

You go, what about China, Pastor?

Okay, remember them aircraft carriers? If we stick them in about three locations and I show you them on the map, China's economy and their whole system goes like that in about four months. That's why they're building these islands and doing everything they can trying to get that giant aircraft carrier we've got called Taiwan off their coast under their control. I promise you this. People talk about it'd be terrible to go to war against China. We wouldn't have to go to war against China. We just cut off their trade and we starve them to death in a year. And they know that. Preacher, you talking. What are you talking about? You ever seen the Malaysia? You ever seen the straits in Malaysia? You do know where the shipping lanes are, don't you? In the world? China's major slip shipping lanes go through three choke points. Our shipping lanes go everywhere. They can't handle it.
