I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open His word to you and allow you to see Him and to know Him. To know His will, that you might glorify Him and that you might walk in faith and power each day, especially today. In Jesus name.

This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life. Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name.
All who dwell on the earth will worship him whose name has not been written in the book of life, of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Now what is he saying? He's saying those who are not redeemed, those who are not, who have not had the deliverance of the redemption of Jesus Christ. He says those people. He. Those people who are not written in the Lamb's Book of life. And remember, I've told you before, the Lamb's. Even though it's a lot of fun for me, and almost all my great jokes come from starting out at the pearly gates with St Peter going off the ledger book. Okay? All my good ones, almost all of them are with St. Peter. Okay, but. But that's not how it works. Okay? Your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, but it's more than your name, because name means more than just name. It means your character. The word name is not name. It means who you actually are is written in the Lamb's book of life, which means the story of you that glorifies God is written in the Lamb's book of life. So everyone in heaven knows what the Lamb's Book of Life. So everybody in heaven knows what you and you know everybody. Okay? So there's not going to be need for somebody to be sitting there with big giant book flipping pages trying to figure out whether or not you get in. Although it's a great joke when you use it. Okay, it's not going to be a need for that. Why? Because everybody is going to know you. Because your story is going to be added to the stories of the Lamb's Book of Life. Anyway, notice. And. And of the Lamb slain. What does it say there? Y' all need to underline that. That's a highly important insight into everything. That end of that verse right there. You need to underline it. Why? Because it Opens the door to a whole lot of understandings about the divine plan of God and eternality. What does it say about Jesus? He called. It calls him the Lamb. Who was what? Slain from foundation of what? All right, the cosmos. That's what the word is, sword. We get cosmetology from. Which is the study of all of creation, of all of all things. Okay? If y' all ever heard somebody say, I'm not talking about cosmetologist, okay? Those are people who give you makeup. Okay? We're talking about cosmology, okay? Which is the study of the cosmos or all of. All of the universe. All right? It says here that Jesus was slain from the foundation or the beginning point of the cosmos. Boy, that has all kinds of implications to it, doesn't it? Huge implications. It changes a lot of your superstitions that you have about God or insights that you have about God that are untrue. Like something might get past God or that he might not be omnipotent. Okay, this. This. This verse tells you that Jesus, He. He was slain for what reason? For the sins of the whole world. Which means that prior to humans existing, he was slain. Meaning as far as God was concerned, the plan was for him to be slain before the universe was created to include the angels. Hmm. Which means that there is a divine plan. And the divine plan is intricate, complete, and perfect. So he brings up the Lamb's book of Life, which is the story of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ in all of the New Testament believers. And it makes the statement that he was slain from the foundation of time, all in the same sentence. Those are two powerful ideas. Powerful ideas. Understandings that did not exist prior to Jesus Christ. Understandings that were not fathomable by the Jewish writers of the Old Testament. It is the mystery of the Old Testament. Those two ideas are as important understandings as any understandings that have ever been expressed by human language. You go, what about E equals MC squared? Well, E MC squared actually tells you that what was said there is possible. It gives you the understanding that what God said at the beginning is possible. That is powerful. It is unbelievable. It is. It is the essence of God, that Jesus was slain from the foundation of time, that he was a lamb. When Moses is telling them how to make sacrifices, he's that lamb. He's that sacrifice. When Abraham makes his covenant with God, he's the sacrifices that the Holy Spirit moves between. He is those things. So when you kind of step back and go, what is that mean? You go, wow, wow, wow. You mean this is all, every bit of it has been designed and planned. Yeah. Revealed through Jesus Christ. That's why Jesus said, if you abide in me, my words, you can know this stuff. I am, I am so, so happy, so thankful that at 8 years old I read, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously without finding fault, meaning if you lack the knowledge of God as it relates to his creation, ask God, who gives generously meaning more than you ever could have deserved, without finding fault, meaning he does not hold your fault how you're messed up, your messed up edness, he doesn't hold that against you. But then it says, but if you ask, you must believe and not doubt. Now you say, why do you say you're so thankful that you read that when you were eight years old? Because at eight years old, I had something that's very powerful. I had childlike faith. I actually had no reason to believe that it wasn't true. And I had no thought in my mind that it couldn't be true. And by reading that and asking for it as an 8 year old young man, I believe. That's why I know what I know. I believe. That's why I know what I know. Because the word of God is that powerful. It unlocks the unimaginable. It allows you to see deep into the things that are unknown and, and, and, and covered. It allows you to know God. He says, if anyone has an ear, let him hear. Now this is the only time he says this, all right? This is the only time that John says this in the book of the Revelation. Did y' all know that? The only time he says it. And he says it right after that verse. And who is he quoting? He's quoting Jesus. He is quoting Jesus. He says, if you got a year, let him hear. Now when I say that. Let's go back. Jesus says it in chapter two and chapter three when he's talking to the churches, okay? The Lamb says it to him. That's among the lampstands. But John, when he's describing the revelation starting in chapter four on, that's the only time he says this. So he's hearkening back to the church and he's saying just what Jesus says. If you got an ear, let him hear. And by the way, Jesus said that while he was alive, he is quoting Jesus from his, from his verbiage as, as a human being, as he remembers him. Okay, Powerful. Why would he say that? Right here we're talking about the Antichrist. Well, he's saying that because the verse he just gave you, you ought to. You ought to know it. You ought to memorize it. Let's read it one more time. All who dwell on the earth will worship him whose name has not been written. Everybody will worship him, comma, important. Whose names have not been written in the book of life, of the Lamb slain from the foundation of time. So the people who are not of faith, who are not written in the book of life, of that book of life, is of the story of the Lamb who slain from the foundation of time. He says, anyone has an ear to hear, let him hear. Meaning, if you understand this, you need to listen. And I have been shocked and amazed my whole life when something like this would come up, when even when I was really not very capable of understanding it, that God has given me understanding in it. And I believe, because I believed that when I was a young man. James, chapter one, starting with verse three. He says, he who leaves and leads into captivity shall go into captivity. Now, what is he talking about? Well, he's talking about the opposite of what we talked about this Sunday, right? He's talking about slavery. He's being. Talking about being enslaved, okay? Jesus is talking about being what, freed or delivered? So he says, he who leads into captivity shall go into captivity. Which means that anyone who is leading someone else into captivity is leading them to the same place they're going. You know, there's so many out there trying to lead you astray. You know that, right? They are. For whatever reason, personal reasons, spiritual reasons, they're out there. All right? I always say, you got to. You. You got to know it yourself. I tell you all the time, don't be telling folks. Chad said, okay, you got to know it yourself. You got it? He says these things, I write to you that you might know me, that you might know. You might ganosko. You might understand Yoda. It's Yoda, actually, that you might Yoda me, okay? He who kills with the sword. By the way, why is there a W there? I've got a problem with that. Where does that come from? Because a young man who's got dyslexia has got to use that W. You can't throw that W away, can you? If you've got dyslexia and you're trying to learn how to read, that W is a problem because every time you read it, you got to use it, right? We don't have letters we don't use. Apparently we do. That W is a problem. It is pronounced sword, but it is spelled sword. Just letting you know, it's my own. That's my own issue. What is he saying here? He's saying, he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Meaning if you're destroying. If you're. If you're murdered, you. You're to be murdered. If you're destroying life in someone, life should be taken from you. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints, which means it's going to take a lot of patience and a lot of faith for believers at this time. But I also think that it. That it's speaking to us. I think that it takes patience and faith on our behalf, right? And a lack of feeling that you're the most important thing going on, you know. You know the real reason every generation thinks Jesus is coming back during their generation, right? Because they think they're the most important generation. Right? I do. You know what I'm talking about? They do, they do. And, you know, it's not like this hadn't been going on for a long, long time. All the way back to Thessalonica, right? All the way back, it's been going on. And what he's saying is, is quit doing that. You know, stop that. You're not that important. He's going to come back in his timing, according to his will, once he's done all that he wants to do in his creation because he made it, because it's his, so he gets to decide that. And listen, I'd love for him to come back tonight, but we're going to have to go watch the news tonight and figure out who the Antichrist is before he comes back. Okay? Just letting you know, we'll send out a column. All if I think he gets revealed, okay? Are you following me? If I think that somebody was revealed that fits the whole definition here, I'm going to put a column all out, okay? You know, I'm going to put like, you know, breaking news. I'll put that at the top. So and so of so and so on Fox News tonight. He fits the description. Okay? I'm just telling you, there ain't nobody close. There ain't nobody close yet. Nobody closed. And there's some really smart people, and there's some really charismatic people, and there's some really pretty people. Just don't all seem to fit in one. Are you following me? They don't. The smartest people I know, you know, really ain't all that pretty, you know, it's all right. Be fine. And, and, and strangely, most of the most charismatic people I know. Are not that pretty either. So this guy is going to be charismatic when he didn't have to be. Charisma usually comes from a person who needs to make up for some other things. It's developed in you that way. Seriously. I believe that. And so I think this guy is going to be amazing in a terrible way. Amazing in a terrible way. And the Bible says that he might. He. He's so much that way that he might even deceive the saints. You know where that's in. Y' all want to take a guess where that's found? Second Thessalonians. That's where it's found. That's what, that's what it says about him. Okay, so. And by the way, you'll get really, really a good picture of thinking of the Antichrist as being pretty smart, charismatic, powerful. You'll really get that feeling when you see how Paul describes the man of lawlessness. Okay. Whew. That's some good stuff, right? All right. Just a little preview. Just a little preview. The next beast, which is next week is, well, we've got the Father, the Son. He's going to be who? The Holy Spirit. Okay? He's going to be. He's going to be the false prophet. He's called the false witness of the false prophet. All right? He is every bit as cool as the Antichrist in a. Just a terrible way. Okay. And he makes an idol that he breathes life into. You. Wait till you read this. And you're going to go now that could happen sometime around now. It's going to be fun. It's really. Actually, you know, obviously, when I first studied through the book of the Revelation, the ideas of a real robot were not anywhere near. I mean, other than Terminator, obviously. He was a realistic robot. You know, other than him, there wasn't really. And that was so far fetched and yet so wonderful, you know, so far fetchedly wonderful when I was young. But I'm not going to mention a couple other moves. All right, and then, but, but, but now to read it in my, in our present time, you go, wow, I see how that could happen. And it's not going to be magic, okay? Because there is no magic. There is power or not power. There's spiritual power, not power. Okay? Make sense. All right. If somebody's operating in magic, they're actually operating in dark spiritual power. Powers of darkness. As you go. Today I pray that the Lord will.
Bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today. In Jesus name.
