This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life. Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today.

In Jesus name it says, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. Okay? So I want you to look at. Listen to me. When you think of lamb, what do you think? Well, first of all, when you think of a lamb, you think of believers, right? Okay, Which. Which. Which is. Is a picture of that evidence. Now, I'm going to tell you this because he is the false prophet. He's also called. I told you that the first beast is called the man of lawlessness in scripture. This beast is called the false prophet in scripture. Okay? I want you to hear me, because if you don't. If you don't think through it and figure it and work it out, it doesn't make sense. This beast has all of the hallmarks of a Christian, and he has two powers, okay? Now, don't you hear me? Because it's important. In the last 2,000 years. In the last 2,000 years, what? Now, I'm going to say this because it does hurt people's feelings. There is a religious leader that has existed who reigned under two powers, not nations. But remember, I told you those horns represent powers. They could be dynasties. They could be any kind of power. There's one person who has been presented as a lamb with two horns, meaning he had two powers. And I would submit to you, he had religious power and he had political power, and to this day has both. He's not only the ruler of a religious organization, but he's also the ruler of a actual nation inside of a nation. Okay? And he's also Jewish. Now, if you were to have a Muslim beast who is political but controls the greatest nation of the world, and you go, well, that can't happen in the United States. Well, you do know the mayor of several of our major cities in the west are Muslim. You do know that, right? You do know the mayor of London is Muslim, huh? Yeah. Yeah. All right, I want you to hear me. I want you hear me. If I have a beast that presents himself as Muslim but blasphemes the true God, which a Muslim would. Right? And then I had a false prophet who had a moniker of religion but was also Jewish. He would have a lot of influence over both the Christians and the Jews, which would pull all of those groups together, which, by the way, all of those groups at the end time follow the Antichrist. All of them do. Now, I hadn't told you the name of that religious leader, but some of y' all did. Out. Y'.

All.

All y' all said it out loud. He's Italian, all right? Now notice he spoke like a lamb. He had horns like a lamb, but he had the voice of the dragon, which means he spoke or he revealed or he revelated. He re. Gave revelation of the dragon. All right? What does the Holy Spirit do? The Holy Spirit gives revelation of the Father, right? He reveals the Son, he magnifies the Son, and he gives the word of God.

He.

He. He reveals the word of God to us. What does this be? He looks like a Christian, has power, spiritual power, political power, and he speaks the word of a dragon. He speaks the words of Satan. All right? That's why he's called the false prophet. It says here that. And he exercised all the authority of the first beast in his presence. Now, you need to hear this, because it's a really good. It's a really good understanding, all right? The Holy Spirit has a role to play. Jesus has a role to play. The Father has a role to play. But they're all God. Okay, well, And for me, I know what I believe. But I don't always want to tell you exactly what I believe about this, because I want you to come to it yourself. Does that make sense? I. If he's the Heavenly Father and these two beings are created. I can't. If he. If he's trying to be the Heavenly Father and these two beings are created and they are Nephilim, then they would come from him also. The same way a Nephilim would have been created in Genesis before the Flood. Okay, all right, so he has. I want you ask. I want to ask you. Is Jesus God? Is the Holy Spirit God? Okay. Does the Holy Spirit get to speak in the power and the. In the presence of Jesus? Under the power of Jesus? Yeah, because he's God. All right? This beast operates in the same power as the first beast does, and he does it in the same presence of him as if it's the same thing. So just like remember, Satan is imitating God. Satan is a counterfeiter of everything Satan can. You need to understand this. Satan is not creative, but. A human is creative. And so these two beasts are human also. So they are creative. They're able to, they're able to make things. They're able to come up with new things. You do realize man invents new ways to sin. So many times people said, the devil made me do it. No, he didn't. You came up with it on your own, didn't decide to do it on your own. Right. It says, and he causes the earth and those who dwell in the earth to worship the first beast. What does he do? Exactly what the Holy Spirit does. What does the Holy Spirit do? The Holy Spirit makes Jesus known. He causes you to worship Jesus. I want you to hear me. There's hallmarks of that. Are you following me? There's hallmarks of that. You can't get away from those things. And if you don't have those things. Are you following me? If you don't have those things, our natural reaction. I want you to hear what the church used to do. Okay? All right. We understand that Christians do certain things. They live a certain way. They, they walk their lives out a certain way. Right? So if somebody wasn't walking their life out that way, we would say they must be, what, Lost or not, saved. Right. Now let me ask you. The sheep, the one sheep that the shepherd goes to look for is the sheep. Now, this is a hard question I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna give you multiple choice answers. The sheep that the shepherd goes to look for, the one that gets lost, is he, A, a sheep, B, not a sheep, C, you're not sure he's a sheep. Does that mean he's lost in the sense of he's going to hell? No. I'm going to ask you another question. The coin that gets lost, there's three parables there. The coin that's lost by the woman, which is a picture of the church because she's an older woman. Okay? Virtuous woman. If the coin's lost, is it still her coin? Like if I leave my phone in the bathroom and then I can't find my phone. Yeah. Actually, in the law, that's not true. That's called theft. Okay? All right. You got to have known that the property was abandoned in order to take the property. Okay? I, I, is it still my phone, even though I don't know where it's at? All right, now this is the hardest one the lost. The prodigal. I want you to hear me. The prodigal young man who had a. I think the. I think the name of the parable is the prodigal young man who had an amorphous relationship with a family somewhere and a father somewhere. And that what it's called? No, it's called the what? The prodigal son. Another question. Is the prodigal son A, a son? B, not a son? C, you're not sure? Son. Okay, he's a son. So the coin's owned by the woman. The son is the son of the father, and the sheep that's lost is a shepherd. Is the shepherd's sheep. Am I right? All right, now listen to me then. If I have a person that I know is born again, but they're not acting born again, do they need to be born again again? No, what they need to do is they need to act like they're born again. Right? Which has certain hallmarks to it. Okay? There's certain aspects of being a Christian that come naturally with a person who worships God and follows the leadership of the Holy Spirit. I want you to hear me. The reason I go over the stuff I go over with y' all over and over and over and over again is because there's certain hallmarks to Christianity. And when you begin to listen to God, believe God, do what God says, it doesn't mean you're perfect, but there's aspects to your life that become just hallmarks of those things. All right, what are they? Well, I'll tell you, you may give you some aspects of the hallmarks of Christianity. Just things that you can obviously. That you can obviously tell. First of all, they start taking on the character of God beyond their former character. They begin to take on the characters, the character of God not perfectly, but in such a way that it's different than their former character. They're not the same. Okay? And as they live and they. And they grow, they become more and more like Christ. Makes sense, right? All right. They do things that scripture mandates, not because they're mandated, but because they're the natural outflow of what Christians do. What do they do? They show up and meet with other Christians. Are you following me? Which means they regularly go to church. Sorry, I'm not making a rule. I'm just telling you, if I see somebody and they're here this week and gone next week, and here this week and gone next week, then they're gone two weeks, then they're here, then they're gone four weeks. I'M going to tell you, they're not growing Christians because Christians hunger for God. So they show up. You know what Christians also do? They worship God. They do. They worship God. Christians. Christians. You. I'm talking about active, growing Christians. Hallmarks. In all kinds of ways. They speak Jesus to other people. You become more bold because you. You hear God's word and it emboldens you to speak it. Now does. Do you do it like I do? Maybe not. Probably not. But you do speak Jesus to people. There's hallmarks to that. Are you following me? And there's things that Christians don't find themselves in the middle of the. Now, could you find yourself in the middle of it and. And be a Christian? Sure. But you're probably not an active, growing Christian. Right? Being honest with you. All right? All those hallmarks. All those hallmarks are the natural outgrowth of being a Christian, and they are the work of the Holy Spirit to make you as Christ is right, to make you follow Christ, to make you know Christ, to make you see Christ, to make you live Christ. That's what the Holy Spirit does all the time. That's what the Holy Spirit is doing all the time. So if it's not happening with you, you get to choose. You can be a sheep, a coin, or a son, but you're lost. And that's what it means to be lost. Not that you're not a Christian. It means that you're not following the way. You're not making every effort to go through the narrow gate. All right? The Holy Spirit is the one who guides you through that process. The Holy Spirit's the one. So if you're not doing that, you're not submitting to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Well, this beast is going to do that with the unbelievers. Except they're going to be great at it. Now you go, well, why are they great at it and we're not great at it? Because they're naturally inclined toward it and you're not. Okay. It's real good to be lost. You were born that way. It's real good to be dead spiritually. You were born that way. It's hard to have Jesus change your life such that your focus is. Becomes what he does and how he does things. That's hard. It's difficult, but it is necessary. It is really necessary. It's important that you see that. It's also necessary that you provide an environment where people can fail and grow and fail and grow and do that. All right? It's necessary. You Got a question back there. What's your question? What is what? Okay, very good question. When I said born dead, that's a good question. All right, everybody that's born of Adam, how many of y' all were born in the image of God? Raise your hand. When you're born in the womb, some of you started to raise your hand. Then you go, oh, nobody's raising their hand. I'm not. I'm not voting with that team. I'm out. All right. You're told that on tv, aren't you? Huh? Mm. All right. Where does that come from? Where'd they get the idea that you were born in the image of God? Huh? Yeah. That Jesus made God, made Adam in his image. Okay. All right, now I want you in his image. He made him. All right, Seth, the third son born. In whose image was Seth born? Does anybody know? In Adam's image, not in God's image. Did y' all know that? You know why? Because Adam was sinful and was dead in his trespasses. In that he was. His spirit was dead when he ate of the fruit in that garden. I love Third Day. There's a song that they used to. That they used to sing. My God is a. No, it's. My God is a consuming fire. And I think one of the verses in that song says, I was born dead. And it's. It's. It's the corollary of everybody born after Adam was born with a body and born with a soul, but born without a spirit and born dead. Which means when you're born, you're born without a relationship with God. You're born separated from him. Okay, all right, That's. That's. And God has to fix that. And when he fixes that, you come to the knowledge of him. The only way for you to ever know God is that he fixed that. By who? By the Holy Spirit. Who conceives in you a new spirit. Well, who conceived Jesus in Mary's womb? The Holy Spirit did. Who conceives in you a new spirit? The Holy Spirit does. Y'. All. Are y' all getting. Are y' all getting this? A little bit. A little bit. I know I'm a nerd, so I. I know that. Okay. I'm good with that. Somebody basically told me that today. Okay, you're just. You're a little nerdy. Chad, he didn't say nerdy, but he said, you know, you be thinking about stuff, you know, we don't be thinking about. I understand that. Okay? But it is. It is real important because When I'm dealing with this Antichrist, these figures, we make them out to be boogeymen, and they're not boogeymen. They are the culmination of God's plan of wrath against sinlessness and the not God and the lawlessness in the earth. And so these figures, that Satan is working his plan out to completion so that God can prove himself greater than. It's not sufficient for God. For him. It's not sufficient for him just to say, satan, you're wrong. He wants to show Satan how Satan is wrong so that he can reveal himself. Are you following me? And so when he says, I want to be God, he's got to allow him to work through the process of being God. You following me? And then in order to be God, you've got to have. Not just you, there got to be three parts. So he's got to create some. Somebody that has the figure of Jesus. He's got to create someone who has the. Who has the essence and the figure of the Holy Spirit. And that spirit is really the one that does all the. The cool stuff. I hate to say the cool stuff, but the Bible. Cool stuff he says. And he says he. He causes and those who dwell in it. Let me read y'. All. Verse 12. And he exercises all authority of the first beast in his presence, and he causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed. So you've got. So you've got. So you've got. You've got him. You've got him creating his Jesus. You've got him presenting a mortal wound. You've got him being healed from the mortal wound. Do y' all see how he's doing? Everything just like Jesus. Just, just. He's got. He. He supposedly resurrects him. He's got a beast that's able to speak all that he says and reveal it to humanity. As you go today. I pray that the Lord will bless.

You and keep you.

You.

That he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
