This is Chad Harrison and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.

His word to you and allow you.

To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name.

The life is in the blood.

But if there is no eternal life,

then the blood is judgment.

And you go, well, why is it judgment?

Because it's quite literally evidence of God.

It's the fingerprint of God. I told you, it's the fingerprint of God.

When we study the blood,

that can't come from some.

Some un.

Un.

Un thought through process that happened by chance. I don't care if it. If it was a trillion years. It's not possible.

It's not possible that your body could survive off of this one substance.

That's blood that your body makes.

Not only, not only do we have it,

but your body creates it.

And we can't make it on our own.

You do realize that if you get blood at the hospital,

you had to get it from what,

Another human being?

They don't make it in a lab.

Why can't they make it in a lab?

Well, they don't even know how. They don't even know what all the machines are.

They can't put it together.

Now I'm telling you that for a reason.

Not, not that I'm a doctor. I'm just telling you the easy stuff.

That's just the easy stuff. I ain't got into the hard stuff.

The really hard stuff.

By the way,

all of the substances that are required to make that blood,

none of them exist in the natural universe.

Did you know that?

The subs, the things that are required to make your DNA,

are only found in living creatures.

They're not naturally in anything else.

Did you know that?

Because God made it.

God made it.

And if you say. If you say, well, couldn't it happened over time? Sure it could. But let me ask you something.

Let me ask you something. Which requires more faith for you to believe all this came about by accident,

as unique and intricate as it is.

By the way, I'm not even giving you a Little stuff like, if the moon was a mile farther away,

we wouldn't have weather.

If the moon was two miles closer,

you couldn't live anywhere but the interior of the continents because the oceans would wipe across most of it because of the tides.

Do you realize if we live 10 miles closer to the sun,

the Earth would burn up and we couldn't live on it.

If we're 10 miles farther away,

it'd be too cold. If it didn't turn at the rate of speed in which it turns out,

One side get so hot, by the time night came, you'd be burned up.

And by the time you got around to the other side, you'd be so cold you froze to death.

You do realize that you know the Earth is slowing down?

Did y' all know that it's slowing down by about a third of a second per year?

How many y' all knew that?

If you do the math backwards,

meaning the rate of slowing,

so I add the speed up.

The Earth would rotate so fast that it would sling us off of it.

If it were a billion years old,

nothing could live on the Earth because the centripetal force would throw you off of it.

Those are just the easy things.

Can you make them little machines?

We don't even know what those machines are,

but we know they're there because we can now see them.

And when God came in and he said, I put life in you,

and he decides to judge it,

he is saying, I have the power to take it away from you.

I have the right to take that life away.

I have a right to do the things which cause. Cause life to end.

And you do need to hear this.

I use it oftentimes because it's such a powerful message when Jesus said it.

But if we bring it to this context and think of. About think of it in the reverse,

it's also powerful.

Jesus said, no man takes my life, but I give it freely.

And he's talking. He's using the word bio. He's talking about the life in me,

the same life that Adam had when he breathed. And when Jesus breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living creature alive.

Okay,

when that happened,

when he became alive,

Jesus says, I have.

I give my life and I lay it down.

And if I have the power to lay it down,

I have the power to take it back again.

Which means I can make myself dead and then rebio myself.

I can make myself alive. I can take a body that's been laying in a tomb for three days and reanimate it and make it alive.

Now what you think about that?

So what he's saying is, I have the power of life and death because I am the source of life and death.

Now, there's no way to really get around, you know, when people talk about Jesus and the things they say about him, those people that have not studied his teachings,

they treat him as he's just a really good teacher who had a whole lot of love in his heart.

And both of those things are true.

But he didn't claim to be a really good teacher.

In fact, the only time he was called teacher good teacher,

he,

he questioned the person.

He says, there's only one that's good,

right?

And so if,

if you're calling me good,

let's take one O out and call me God.

Because only God's good,

right?

So if you're calling me a good teacher,

you need to understand you're not calling me that, you're calling me God. And so whatever you ask me from this moment on, after you've called me good teacher,

whatever you ask me,

you are getting the answer from God.

And I want you to hear me because this is important for all this.

If I hear from God,

then what God does is consequential.

What God says to me is consequential. My life as a result of it is consequential. And so it's going to have effect one way or the other.

It's either going to bring about more life or it's going to rightly point to God's righteous judgment of death.

Now that's the way it goes.

That's all that there is.

You gotta get that.

So many times.

And I want you to hear it especially for children and especially for young adults. And when I say young adults 13 to their 20s,

okay, I want you to hear me.

12 and 13 year old children up until this crazy time we live in were considered young adults,

meaning they had attained to an age where they could cognitively think like an adult. And they needed to be put in positions where they learned to think like an adult because they were adults.

You go, well, why does that matter?

Well, because we got 40 year olds living with their mama.

I'm just being honest with you,

okay?

It's not, it's not helpful.

It's not good for us to put children in a position where, where they never grow up.

The Bible says that he desires for us to be mature,

not lacking anything.

He wants us to grow up.

Okay?

Young adults need to know,

listen. That their actions have consequences.

I. And that's the negative side because you think of sin, but it's not negative.

They need to know that their actions have consequences because the life that they have in them is consequential.

It matters.

Their life matters.

Every life matters.

All that God knows matters.

All that God does matters.

So if you're 13 or 14 years old, you need to figure out that. That who I am and how I live matters. And so I can't say that my sin has no.

Has no victim,

because it does.

If you've got spiritual gifts, let's just use. I'll give you an example.

If you got spiritual gifts,

that's the power of God gifted to you.

You realize that, right? It is the divine attribute of the Holy Spirit that has been given purely to you in a form that you could operate in, in divine perfection.

The power of God.

Okay, now let's say that my heart and my mind are wrapped around this sin over here,

whatever it is that my thoughts,

who I am,

is focused on that.

Well, you can't live in death and walk in the Spirit,

right?

So if.

If I'm over here living in death and I have a literal divine gift from God to be used to give life to the world,

and I'm all up in my death and I'm not using my life,

does that have consequences for those who should be experiencing that gift from me? And the life that God has given me to give to others?

It should, right?

So if I sit here and don't do life and I'm born again,

then everything that I do for the kingdom has consequence. And everything that I don't do for the kingdom has consequence.

Because your life is consequential.

And the reason your life is consequential is because the most precious substance of God's creation was paid for your life.

And that is the perfect divine blood of Jesus Christ.

His blood was shed for your life.

Not just your physical life, but your eternal life,

the life that God has.

God paid for the consequence of your sin with the blood of his Son so that you might have eternal life.

That's why Jesus. We're gonna get to it eventually in John. I mean, it may be a year from now.

But Jesus says,

those whom the Father give me,

I give eternal life.

And I want you to hear me.

That's not future tense,

it's present tense.

He says,

presently,

those who the Father give me, I give eternal life.

Those whom. Right now,

he was saying right now,

those whom the Father give me, I give eternal life.

Not when you die.

And by the way, when you die, you're not going to have eternal life. I mean, you're not going to have just everlasting life. That means it's. It, it exists from now forward.

Eternal life exists from now forward and from now backwards.

It's, it's life outside of time and space.

And if I've got that kind of life,

if that's the life I have,

then everything that happens in my life matters,

is consequential.

I watched something this week.

Somebody do a present, a spiritual,

a religious presentation.

He come from my heritage,

okay?

And my heritage.

You start out with the Word and then you spend most of the time talking about what you want to talk about. And then you end with the Word a little bit and then give an invitation.

You know, you dress up the Word with. I mean, you dress up what you want to talk about with the Word.

Being honest with you.

It's where I come from.

And that's what happened.

And as I sat there and there were so many people there, I thought, you know, this is a great opportunity for some lives to be changed.

And you know what God said?

That's not your business right now,

but I'm glad you noticed it.

He says, I made you to be consequential because you understand that the only life that matters is the life that God has placed in me. That was in His Son.

The life of God. Eternal life,

that's all that matters.

And so God in his divine judgment of the earth,

starts out by taking blood of every liquid and making.

Taking every liquid and making it into blood,

which is the blood of a dead man,

which means he gave them the fullness of death.

Now I read when, where it says that.

I've read some people talk about this and they said, well, they have to drink blood and they have to,

they have to bathe in blood and they have to do all that. I'm sorry,

ain't going to be able to do it for long.

Because once the blood leaves the body,

it's not blood anymore.

It's a dried up substance that used to be blood.

He removes the liquids from the earth.

And we know the liquids represent what the Holy Spirit, right?

The Holy Spirit's the water which is the washing and the refreshing of his word.

It's the wine, which is the goodness of his presence.

It's the oil, which is the power,

the resonant power of God.

When you take all the liquids out, you ain't got anything but death.

You don't have anything but death.

I want you to notice that he's Going to destroy the Earth one day and fire the whole universe.

Really? You go, well, how's he going to do that?

Well, it's real easy.

If you hold all the atoms in the universe together with your mighty right hand and you release them, then all the energy of all the atoms in all the universe come apart,

and that's a major explosion of fire.

But there was a judgment of water.

A water judgment wasn't there,

where he judged the sin of man and flooded the earth.

Notice that this judgment is a fulfillment of that promise because he gave us a rainbow, and it's for new beginnings, not for anything else.

Okay,

I'm trying to stay on Facebook, okay?

They already taken away our stuff every four weeks, so.

All right,

and what did he say? He would never judge the earth again by a flood, which means an overflow of his spirit against sin.

This judgment is a absence of the Holy Spirit,

which brings about only death.

Only death.

Now you got to hear that.

Now the question is,

what am I to think about that?

Well,

I actually like these two verses better because there are beings who've seen everything that's happened.

They were created when God said, let there be light,

okay?

And so they know everything that's going on.

They know when it happened, how it happened. They've been there the whole time.

We call them angels.

It's the word angelos, which means messenger.

They're the messengers of God.

Okay?

They've seen everything.

All right? And I want you to notice.

In.

The revelation,

when something needs to be explained,

one of the elders usually explains it or Jesus explains it.

Does that make sense?

This is one of the passages in the revelation where the angels step up, and not just one, but two speak.

One says what it is, and the second one agrees with him.

And that's a picture of, I'm giving you a message from God,

and then I'm having somebody verify it testimonially so that you know that we have seen it and we know these things to be true.

He says here,

and I heard an angel of the waters saying,

what kind of angel of the waters?

So there's angels that deal with the work of the Holy Spirit,

because remember, the water is the power of the Holy Spirit,

the goodness of the Holy Spirit, the refreshing of the Holy Spirit. Everything liquid comes from the Holy Spirit.

Bible says, are not angels ministering spirits sent to minister unto the saints of God.

So the angel who's been ministering in the spirit since time began,

one of the angels comes out and he says,

notice what he says. And he's talking to God.

Notice he's not talking about grace and mercy because he doesn't understand grace and mercy.

He doesn't. He doesn't experience God's grace.

He's talking about how things were made and whether or not this is right.

Which is it? Just.

He says,

you are righteous, O Lord.

He's talking to God about what he knows.

Notice every other time they talk about the things that have to do with us to God, they don't talk to God. What do they talk about? God.

Y' all know we've been through it.

It's a couple of songs.

Starts out with the angels, right?

And the angels talk about attributes of God in the third person, right?

And then the creatures talk about the attributes of God,

holy and all that.

Notice the angels never say, you're full of grace.

What do the angels say? Well, they cover their eyes. They cover their feet and say, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.

But this angel is talking to God about what he actually knows about God. He doesn't know all about God. He's not. He's not capable of knowing all about God. You.

You are.

He says you're righteous.

The one who is and who was and who is to be.

What he's saying is, you are timeless.

And I say, I. I know I say it all the time,

but I feel like when I say it, there's about one or two people that get it.

Are you following me?

We'll say it again. Because it's really. If you. Once you get this, it's so the things become really clear to you.

Omnipresence means everywhere,

all the time,

which means present to God.

When he says, you are, you were and you ever shall be.

That's the word I am in the Old Testament that Jesus told Moses on top of the mountain when he said, what? Who shall I say? Since you tell them I am.

That I am.

And what he's saying is, I exist in all space and time,

all the everywhere.

And that's why they call him the Great I am. And then they begin to speak of him as the God who was, who is, and ever shall be,

because they're trying to explain his omnipresence throughout time.

When you realize that,

and you realize that the Bible says that Jesus was slain from the foundation of time, which means he was slain at the beginning of the creation of all the universe.

Meaning it was God's desire and design that Jesus would be slain at the creation of the universe to fulfill all righteousness and to show all the aspects of his nature.

Meaning that there had to be a creature who. Who could be broken and the grace of God could redeem. Meaning that even though there would be death in the world, because there would be not God in the world, that God was more powerful than not God, and that he could overcome death.

And the only way to prove that is there to be a broken creature that God could redeem by his grace.

Which is actually the whole point of the matter.

Now. Do the angels glorify God?

Sure they do,

in their special way.

But nothing glorifies God like you do.

Which, by the way,

means you're consequential.

Means you matter.

You matter.

As you go. Today I pray that the Lord will.

Bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
