This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day,

especially today in Jesus name.

He rejected the revealed will of God.

Okay,

all right. But later on,

when God revealed Himself again in a greater way,

okay?

He received it.

All right? Now listen to me. There's a truth with that. If I bind it here,

and then at some point in time,

God reveals and I figure it out,

well, I get the benefit of it. But now listen, I don't get the benefit of walking into all the time. I should have walked in it.

Okay?

I don't get that.

All right,

Now I want you to hear me. That's why it's very important that there's two aspects of this that are really, really important.

We're going to move away from the judgment because we're not under the judgment. Okay?

All right. We're going to move away from the judgment. There's two aspects of this that are really, really, really, really important.

Okay?

The first aspect of it is obvious.

Don't reject the clear,

revealed will of God. That. Or his grace.

If you hear his voice, turn to him,

okay? And that means not just in the repentance phase of life, but that means in everything. If I hear his voice, do what he says,

Spirit. Do what he says. Get good at doing what he says. Get good at hearing his voice and doing what he says.

Okay?

Get good at it.

Get good at listening to God, Hearing what He says. Doing what he says. Get good at it.

How do I get good at it? Do it, do it, do it. It's just like everything. It's a. It's a learned trait,

okay?

That's what salvation is,

is learning to walk by faith.

Okay? All right.

The second part of that.

My mind. I'm old.

First,

learn to walk in his grace. What was I even talking about?

Don't reject the will of God and.

All right,

Huh?

Respond to his grace. The second.

The second aspect of it is this.

If. No, I'm. I'm good. But thank you.

The second aspect of it is this.

If you reject his grace in a situation,

then all you can expect is things to remain the way they are.

All you can expect is that.

Okay?

And don't act like it's somebody else's fault.

Don't act like. Yes, yes, Pastor Philip.

Opportunity to choose his grace.

Right.

God didn't really pass his judgment on them. They chose his good judgment by refusing his grace. Right.

They walked into his judgment.

And, and we have those stories, you know, we always want to go to Paul and Peter, but truthfully,

no, they're not. But, but truthfully, the best.

The best example of this is James.

Yeah.

And the reason James is the best example is this is because he grew up with Jesus. He was Jesus's younger brother,

okay?

Not James the disciple, but James the writer. The book of James. James the just James, the brother of Jesus. Okay?

His physical brother of Jesus.

I,

I want you to notice that both Paul and James,

when they talk about Jesus,

they talk about being a bond slave of his or being.

Or they take a super lowly view of themselves.

Because I believe because Paul rejected Christ or rejected God's revealed plan for him because he loved his money, he loved his wealth, he loved his position.

And then he had it revealed to him. And he says, I'm an apostle of Christ, but I'm abnormally born,

I'm abnormally made.

I'm the least of the apostles, I'm the least of the disciples because I rejected him while he walked on the earth.

James is the exact same way.

James is in some ways in the New Testament Church. Even though the apostle Paul goes and preaches the gospel around the world world,

James is the leader of the New Testament Church.

Not long after Jesus's resurrection and his ascension,

okay? He is the one that remains in Jerusalem even in the persecution and leads the church in Jerusalem because he is the biological brother of Jesus, the half biological brother of Jesus, but he's the biological brother of Jesus.

And he knows that they've already messed it up once by killing Jesus ain't killing him.

And he was bold,

and his book is bold.

Okay?

But if you read it,

there is a strong sense of shame or a realization.

That when his brother was on the earth,

he rejected him for who he was.

And he realizes there's a cost to that.

There's a great cost. That's why he says, you gotta. That's why the whole book's about walking by faith,

trusting in the revealed will of God.

If you don't understand,

ask God to give it to you.

Don't reject him in the day of his calling.

Why?

Because James rejected him.

James should have sat at his right hand.

James should have been his lead apostle.

But James rejected him until after his resurrection.

And James understands that that has cost.

It cost him something.

Now, I'm telling you that for a reason.

The first reason. The reason is not to tell you that James is terrible,

because obviously James is. He's a. He is going to be a patriarch in the kingdom.

Okay?

But there's a cost to rejecting the divi. The. The. The. The. The.

The revelation, the revelatory will of God.

There's a cost to it.

And if you'll notice,

most of my preaching,

even though we deal with all the stories and we deal all the nuances, and I try to help you with things,

but if you. If you think about it,

all the stories, all the things that we go over really kind of boil down to God's revealed himself.

He's revealed Himself to you.

Will you trust him in his revealed will?

And there's no way to really get around that,

because it just happens over and over and over again.

Even in this. Even in this chapter of judgment, we see people who've said, I. I don't. I don't want that.

And so now the judgment's on you.

And it causes you to say things about God and who he is that are not true.

And I can't blaspheme God in the sense that you think of blaspheme, especially in the sense of the Ten Commandments, if He's not revealed Himself to that.

Because I'm not. I can't say he's something that he's not intentionally if I didn't know that he was.

So when we really boil it down and get right to. The answer is,

did God tell you that?

I'm sorry.

I know what I was supposed to tell you.

I got two minutes.

You have a duty to do what he says for you to do.

But you also have a duty to do the opposite of what these men do,

which is to glorify God by telling what he has revealed.

You have a duty to say what God has done,

what he's done in His Word, but what he's done in your life.

Okay?

I want you to hear me.

That's the process of salvation.

Okay?

How do I know that?

He says, now I want you to hear me. Salvation is not being born again,

Right? It's being changed. Are you with me?

Are y' all falling?

I.

Listen to me.

If I confess with my Mouth the Lord Jesus.

What does that mean?

Well, I agree.

Rather than blasphemy,

I agree with Him. Confess.

His what?

His Jehovah Lordship. His Lordship,

meaning His control. What he does, how he works, how he is my Lord.

In every way that he's presented himself as my Lord.

Which is more than just saying jesus is Lord.

It's saying. Okay, well, you say Jesus is Lord. How you know? Well, he does this, he did that. I know this and I know that. And I know that, and I know that, and I know that.

Now,

if you ask me. Well, we're going to have to sit down. Do you want a full list?

Okay, well, we're gonna need a couple weeks.

Let's go through them. Okay. All right. How do I know He's Lord? Well, we can start with, you know, we'll start with philosophy, and then we'll go to physics, and then we'll go to the Word,

and then we'll go to my personal revelation from him, and then I might give you some revelation that I know happened for other people. Are you following me?

So how do I know He's Lord? I need to confess him. When I know certain aspects of it, I need to confess it, right? I confess His Lordship and believe in my heart.

Pistio.

Trust in my heart, my soul,

okay,

that he was raised from the dead, which. Now, listen, that means that he has resurrection power to take that which is broken and dead and make it fixed and alive.

Okay? So I have to. I have to confess his work and. And believe His Lordship and believe his resurrection power.

He says if you do that,

you are being saved.

Meaning you're being sozo.

Sanctified, changed.

If I don't confess with his mouth.

With my mouth, His Lordship,

which means I never say what he revealed.

And the only reason I do that is because I'm not.

I don't believe in his power,

then I'm not being saved.

Remember, salvation is a process.

I'm not being saved.

So I have to.

I got to confess My Lordship. And I got to believe in my heart that he has the power to be who he is and all the ways he is. And if I do that, I am saved.

If I don't,

I won't.

So it necessitates that you tell what you heard,

what you know.

And by the way, you won't learn it until you confess it.

Are y' all listening to me?

You will not learn it until you confess it.

You've got to tell.

You need to tell all the time.

You gotta be telling.

Do you have to know all the answers.

No. All you gotta do is confess his lordship of you.

That's all I gotta do.

What does that mean? I don't know. What does it mean for you?

I know what it means for me. What does it mean for you?

Right.

All right,

now I'm gonna tell you that has absolutely nothing to do with. I was going to teach you tonight. Okay, all right. Just nothing to do with.

Nothing to do with it. Okay. Just, I mean, absolutely nothing. I planned on getting into the third and the fifth vial and the sixth vial or six bowl.

And maybe we're going to talk about some judgment. We were going to get some heavy judgment stuff. I was going to give y' all full double barreled judgment of God,

end times, tribulation stuff.

Okay, Just letting y' all know.

All right now.

Now he says. He says it all the time. If you hear my voice,

do not act like the people in the rebellion.

And what was the rebellion?

You go tell us what God said.

You go up there.

We're gonna stay down here.

And you always don't just stay down here.

You start doing things you ought not be doing,

right before you know it, you got an idol.

And it was made as an idol of a golden calf, right?

You notice it wasn't the idol of a. What's a madoodle?

You go, what's a. What's a madoodle? I don't know.

It was an idol of something that God. What made you worship God yourself or something he made.

And they decided we'll go with a golden calf.

Very strange.

They must have been missing steak. You know what I'm talking about?

Must have been missing steak.

As you go today, I pray that.

The Lord will bless you and keep you. That he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
