This is Chad Harrison and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.

His word to you and allow you.

To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name.

Satan's kingdom.

Even at the very end, at the pinnacle of his power.

Satan's kingdom is not the whole world.

It's not the whole world.

I want you to hear me. It's not the whole world. Everything that you have taken dominion over,

you've taken authority over in your life,

Satan can't have.

And he can't have it even at the end times.

Why?

But because that territory is God's territory.

So he doesn't. He's got a kingdom, it's a bad kingdom,

it's an authority that he's got.

But it's not everything.

And if it's not everything, then it's sure not everything.

Now.

It says here that he poured out the bowl of the throne of the beast and his kingdom became full of darkness.

Meaning that the actual darkness that is his kingdom became in reality darkness.

I want you to notice how God uses that regularly in scripture of light and darkness.

Okay.

Did that, has that happened before?

Has God proven himself that way before?

Absolutely he did. It's one of the plagues of Egypt.

Egypt was in darkness.

Now, don't you listen to me?

Were the Jews in darkness?

No,

the Bible says that Goshen, the land where the Jews were in, wasn't in darkness.

Now you go, well, that had to be over there, you know, in France or something, right?

Goshen was in France and Egypt was in darkness.

Isn't that how it worked?

That has to be right.

Now I'm going to tell you, if you look on a map,

you got the great pyramids,

okay? You got Cairo,

you got Alexandria,

right over here,

down here to the right,

not far.

You know, Auburn area.

Is Goshen.

Okay,

all right,

so Egypt in darkness.

Goshen in Egypt not in darkness.

Enemy is not going to have power over God's plans you to be.

How many times have you that computer get that brain going in the Right direction, get you headed where you ought to be.

If he can do that with you and does that with you, how much more can he do with Michael?

Can't do that.

They don't know. They don't understand, Grace.

They don't understand the power of God to take that which is dead and make it alive.

They don't get it.

You do.

And that's why I always get worried when, you know,

somebody's all caught up.

In.

You know, we got to fight the devil. You're not told to do that, are you? Hear me?

You.

You are told to battle against his ways in your life.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities and rulers of this dark age. Those are ranks of angels,

okay?

I want you to hear me,

but we're not directly battling them.

We are warring against their ways so that we can walk in light.

Look,

we're the offense.

We're not the defense.

I want you to notice the gates of hell will not prevail against us.

Now, I don't know about you, but.

I think that means that there's gates.

Of hell, which would mean that would be the kingdom.

And if they don't prevail,

that means we've got to be attacking them and taking his territory, right?

So who's on offense?

We are. We're his kingdom.

We're on offense.

We're taking territory.

How many of you spend your spiritual life.

How many of y' all spend your spiritual life looking around going, oh, it's all over with.

Let's just fumble the ball to them and let them have it.

I'm telling you, sometimes you do.

You'll be walking in church, and the devil's been doing good today, you know.

Look, if you giving devil credit, you're.

Giving credit, Somebody don't deserve it.

You got.

I mean, how's he everywhere? And by the way, he ain't everywhere.

He's not.

He's not omnipresent here. Here's the truth. You blaming it on devil, Devil. And it's some little demon that you're.

Dealing with, and you're going, what are.

You talking about, a little demon? You're just dealing with some little demon, okay?

And.

And demons are just disembodied.

Human.

Spirits, okay, that are completely evil.

They are the humans that were born of the. They are the nephilim, okay?

They only have the ability to control that which you give them control of.

The strongholds in your life are only strongholds because you've let them be strongholds.

Christians need to walk in victory.

And we're not talking about foe victory.

Are you following me?

What is foe victory? Well, that's what you do all before the game where everybody acts like we're going to win.

You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, the pep rally.

Pep rally is foe victory. Okay. Just letting you know, don't pep anybody up. Victory's won by actually being on the field and fighting the battle.

Victory's won there. Not, not.

Not with these.

And I know it hurts your feelings. I know if you were a cheerleader in the band or a coach that.

That you thought you were doing something on the field.

I'm just going to be honest with you.

I played for just under 16 years.

I never played well because the crowd was doing anything. I couldn't even hear y' all most time. I couldn't breathe. Okay.

I was worried about breathing. I worried about the guy hit me.

And I was hurting all over my body. Okay?

You didn't help me at all. Never. Okay? Never did.

I go, if they would just cheer more, I would win.

Are you following me?

Love that you did.

You didn't help.

When I got hit and I couldn't breathe and I was laying on the ground,

I didn't think, well, man, they are just so cheering so hard for me.

They're breathing the breath of life into me.

That's not how it works.

Victory's won by entering the ring and. And participating in the battle by taking what God has given you.

The enemy's in darkness.

They don't have the answers you have.

I want you to hear me. They don't know how you're going to be victorious.

And I want you to hear this really important. All this stuff that I'm telling you is really important.

It is. It.

It changes the way you think about things. When I see somebody in front of me that.

That is struggling with something, I don't think, well, man, the devil's doing just.

A good job with you. That doesn't even cross my mind.

Okay.

It doesn't cross my mind. Now, am I going to battle against the powers and principalities that are controlling that person? Yeah, but I'm not going to say.

You devil, you just doing so bad.

Stop.

I'm going to be light.

I have light.

He's in darkness. He can't see.

There's only. Listen to me. There's only two beings in the universe that knows for sure completely and can know completely your victory. That's God and you.

That's God in you.

And if you're not hearing it from him, then it's only God.

I promise you. I believe in demons.

I know that they're fallen angels at work all around me. I know that there, if I could see it in the room,

you would just be amazed by it.

But that's not what I'm focused on,

because victory's had.

If you're saying, I want to battle against the enemy, the way you battle against the enemy is be victorious over the enemy. Be light, take ground, do what God's told you to do.

Don't say, well, Satan's running a play against us.

It's going to be rough. He really threw me for a loop. Did Jesus ever, ever blame anything on the devil?

No.

Did Jesus ever act like in any way he was not going to be victorious? Oh, I'm talking about when he was separated from the Father.

Did he ever act like he wasn't going to win?

He just kept moving forward in his plan.

I'll say it again to you.

There's only two people in the universe,

only two that can know your victory.

Only two.

It's God and you.

And most Christians spend most of their life not knowing it.

Notice how terrible it is. They're in darkness.

It says, it was full of darkness.

And they're gnawed. And they gnawed their tongue because of the pain.

What pain?

I don't know.

Apparently it drove them mad.

The only place I can find anywhere where it talks about people chewing their tongue is people who've gone absolutely mad.

Okay,

if you Google it, look it up.

The chewing of one's tongue is only associated with madness.

Possibly kidney stones. Right? Possibly kidney stones.

Very good. Thank you.

You've done really well up until this point. I want you to think about that, all right? They go mad because of the darkness.

Why? Why do human beings go mad because of the darkness? Look, Look.

Yeah, they have no light if you look around. And people doing crazy stuff all the time. What? Pastor, these are.

These are terrible times. They're awful times.

You know,

it's never been this bad before.

Are you nuts?

It's been this bad the whole time.

People are in darkness everywhere.

Yeah. And left the church singing Victory in Jesus.

They're mad if you say somebody's nuts. They are. And you're nuts, too, in every way. You're not doing God's will. You're nuts.

And by the way, worse than that.

You know the plan.

You got the plan available to you,

and you're not working the plan.

How nuts is that?

Some of you need to chew Your tongue sometimes.

Am I right?

This kingdom that we talk about, that's.

The kingdom of satan, is so temporal.

It only lasts a few years.

It's not even the whole earth. Satan's been working on this plan for a long, long time.

Are you with me?

It's really like Russia.

They come up with this big plan. We're going to take Ukraine.

This will definitely slow me down on.

All right, we got all our tanks, and we're just going to go to Kiev. We're going in.

Well, don't we need something?

No, we're going. We're taking it.

Well, I mean, what about gas?

I forget the gas.

What about food?

Oh, no need for food.

Okay,

I want you to hear me. They got to Kiev.

When they got to Kiev, they had no gas and no food.

So you know what they did?

They left all their tanks with Ukrainians and walked out.

I want you to hear me.

Satan's been working on this plan ever since the garden.

And it's quite clear from this passage that the best he can do is some kingdom where he's not in control of everything,

where the wrath of God pours out on him.

Don't you hear me? That ain't a great plan.

But God's plan for you is to take broken, totally lost,

no hope.

And.

Make you a coair in the kingdom.

Who's got the better plan?

And he does it over and over and over again.

And everything you do goes on after you.

Everything you walk in, you get to keep.

Satan can't take it back.

Dean.

I'd be remiss not to read the next passage.

They blasphemed the God of heaven.

Because their pains and their sores and they did not repent of their dates.

What's new?

Really?

What's new?

If you don't have the light,

you can never walk in it.

You just can't.

Look, the devil's never going to figure it out.

The fallen angels ain't going to figure it out.

The demons ain't going to figure it out.

And those who do not know Christ,

I ain't gonna figure it out.

There's only one way.

There's only one possible way for those who are in darkness to see a great light.

And that's you.

That's you.

You ain't got to convince them of it.

If they see it, they see it. If they don't see it, they ain't never going to see it.

You saying pastor down the road, they might not see it? I don't know. But they're not going to say it right now.

If they don't see it, they don't see it.

Nothing you can do about it.

That's not your territory to take.

If they do see it,

they can't get away from it.

It'll blind them, it'll paralyze them.

They'll act all crazy about it.

They'll do all kinds of nutty stuff,

okay?

But once they've seen it, they can't unsee it.

Once they heard God, they can't unhear him.

Once they've been in his presence,

they are effectually changed forever.

There's no way to get around it.

Your job is to teach and to be and to walk in that light.

That's all your job is.

You would think, Dane.

You would think that they would repent.

You would think they would.

Can't process it.

I can. And I'm going to tell you I can. Because I see it.

I see it regular.

I see people who don't get their lives fixed.

And you would think that they'd get it fixed and they don't.

Now I see a lot of people.

Who really, really struggle and get their lives in the right direction and mess up a lot. I see that all the time.

And you know what I think about that?

Those folks.

Whoa, it's working out.

You're going.

What do you mean it's working out?

I mean, the only other choice is.

To walk around in darkness and be lost,

right?

I mean, even if you do it badly, you're doing it.

Always remember that.

Even if you're doing poorly at it, you're doing it.

Okay?

And if you're doing it poorly today.

You might be doing it less poorly tomorrow.

But those who are in darkness will never ever do it.

They won't until they are.

Well, Pastor, I want them to. Right, I know you do. But nobody wants it more than God,

okay? Nobody wants it more than him.

So I don't worry about that.

And I say that to you enough. And I know Pastor Jimmy in his. In his spiritual warfare class, really focus it. We call it spiritual warfare. But the truth is the warfare is.

To hone the weapon and the tool.

That God uses for his kingdom, which is you.

The class is not about, you know, we got to come up with a.

Hand, you know, one of them really.

Neat axes, Viking like axes, so that.

We can attack Satan with it. You know what I'm talking about?

Have one of those spears that stick.

Into the devil like Dracula and kill him, you know? Huh?

Flamethrowers. Yeah. That's not that's not when God says we battle against, not against flesh and.

Blood, but against powers and principalities against.

And rulers of this dark age. He's talking.

Head and, and.

And removing them from the things that.

God has given us. Clearly.

Your own offense.

I love defense,

but I'm on offense.

I loved defense.

I loved it.

But everywhere I went, they always wanted me to play offense.

They did.

Everywhere I went, they wanted me to play offense.

I just take that as a sign that I should be playing offense.

I should always be taking territory.

Every person, every situation, every opportunity take territory.

We went just recently to a place I had never been to in this county.

Really had troubles.

Really, really had troubles.

I just got this overwhelming sense in my mind. God said when I told you I.

Gave you it all.

That's yours too, and it'll be mine too, and yours. It's ours.

How long? I don't know.

Don't know.

But I know I'm on offense.

I know I'm taking ground.

Every day I'm taking ground.

Some days I'm tired of taking ground.

But I'm going to take ground and you are too.

Remember again,

because real important,

there's only two people that truly know the plan of God for you.

One of them's always on it.

It's always been in Him.

Before he spoke the universe into existence,

he knew was innately part of who he is.

You do know that, right?

You are innately part of who he is.

You understand that you are the ponderings of an eternal God.

Before there was anything,

okay,

you were.

You were the ponderings of an eternal God.

You were.

Before anything was,

you were.

And you're the only ones that can know.

You're the only one that can know his ponderings of you.

You're the only one that can completely know it. I might can see aspects of it.

Somebody else might be able to speak some good stuff into you.

But nobody else knows those ponderings except for you personally. Completely.

Nobody does.

And if you don't get to know them well, that's your fault.

That's your fault.

And that makes a lot of sense, don't it?

Makes a whole lot of sense.

No eyes seen, nor ears heard what God is prepared to do for those who love Him.

Lord,

what should we do?

If you love me,

you'll keep my commandments.

Lord, what should I do if you love me,

you'll keep my commandments.

Lord, what should we do?

If you love me, you'll keep my commandments.

What are the commandments of God? Love the Lord your God with all your heart.

Teacher,

what is the greatest commandment? Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

And the second is like unto it, meaning not a simile,

but necessary as a part of it.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Lord, what are your commandments?

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, with all your soul, with all your strength. And the second one's like unto it, which means they're inseparable and they go together.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

If you love me, you'll do those.

And by the way, a new commandment I give you, because now you're capable of it.

Love each other self, sacrificially, as I have loved you.

Agape love others. Because now you are capable of agape love. Agape, love others,

each other,

as I've agape loved you.

It's easy.

But you have to take off your fear and your doubt and your dread and take on his thoughts and make his ways your ways and his thoughts your thoughts.

If you do it enough,

you will do it all the time.

And if you do it regularly,

you will change everything around you all the time.

What does it say about Jesus and the people who walked in darkness,

saw a great light.
