This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life.

Hi, this is Chad Harrison and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years.

I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life.

I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up.

His word to you and allow you.

To see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today in Jesus name.

10 and so tonight is going to be a lot of hypotheticals, and maybe it could be, maybe it couldn't be. I'm going to tell you you what I've heard. Historically, people have said when they're teaching through the book of the Revelation, we'll give you some of those insights, and then I'm going to give you my insights.

Just the things I say. The main thing I say about this passage is especially starting here and moving toward the end of this chapter, a lot of this stuff is things that I'm not sure you can really know.

Okay.

They're things that there's insights that we can take from it. But to be dogmatic and say this is exactly the way this is going to be,

I would never feel comfortable saying that about these. Because God,

he's given us this information.

And as you can tell, he's given us a lot of things that over the last two millennia, the last 2,000 years have,

have. Have held and, and, and are things we can see that are going on right now.

And even nations, even nations that didn't exist back then,

he has. He has accurately not only named those nations, but place those nations in the right,

in. In the right context of world history.

And you go, well, what nation would that be? Well, the primary one, I would say, is Russia in 2000 years ago,

during the life of Christ. And after Christ was not Russia.

There was not a Russia. Okay?

There were small little city states and there were people that lived sparsely in that area of the world.

But Russia as a great nation didn't exist.

But now,

even today,

the nation that is spoken about in Ezekiel and also in the book of the Revelation, this rosh that is spoken about, which can be translated in Hebrew, the great prince,

but it is also said to be in the north, and it's gonna come down and align itself with what is Persia.

That nation is a Real nation. And if you go to Israel today and get the Jerusalem and open up the front page and read a. Read a story about Russia, you know how they'll spell it?

R O, S,

H. That's how they'll spell it because it is in Hebrew.

It is the word Rosh.

Okay? And so I'm telling you that the Bible does give us insights and understandings and things that we can definitely tie off from the book of the Revelation from the time of Christ to today.

I'm telling you that the things that are going to be described here are things that definitely have pictures that we could tie to other parts of Scripture,

but it's not clear how this all works out. Does that make sense? And so I'm going to,

I'm going to read this to you and then we'll go through it verse by verse and I'll give you my insights. Verse nine,

and I'm going back to verse nine so that we can kind of hear what God says.

Here is the mind of wisdom.

Okay?

Now what he's saying is,

is that what I'm about to explain to you when he uses that and that that phrase is used several times in the Bible,

Paul uses it, John uses it,

and then it's used in the Old Testament.

And what it means is,

is that this requires a view from God's perspective. And remember,

the world and the universe exist to reveal God. We know that from Romans chapter one,

that his divine qualities and his eternal nature can clearly be seen in that which he made. Okay, all right, so we can see the nature of God in the. Of it.

In Star wars,

the command for the Starfleet is in San Francisco, just letting you all know. Okay, so if you're not Star Trek. Not Star Wars. Star Trek,

yeah. Fleet Command is out of San Francisco in Star Trek, just letting you know.

So obviously that means it's generally a possibility, right?

No, not really.

That don't mean anything. But Star Trek is a lot.

Yeah, you can.

And this is how the seven Kings five have fallen. All right,

now if you do the count,

and anytime in scripture that we start talking about world kingdoms,

you always go to the book that ties most to the book of the Revelation, which would be the book of Daniel.

And Daniel predicted, accurately predicted the rise of the four great empires of the millennia before Christ came.

Okay. He accurately predicted.

He actually,

he saw a vision of Babylon,

of Macedonia,

I mean of Persia, of Macedon, or the Greek Empire, and then finally of the Roman Empire.

All right,

now,

because the woman, remember, is this ancient pagan religion that's riding the beast.

Then there's another kingdom, a great kingdom, a great world dominating kingdom that,

that pagan religion that we know is infiltrated all the religions of the world. It's a,

it's common. We, we, we practice it in all kinds of ways. We shouldn't even to that today. I've already been through that. Okay,

that would be not Babylon, but Babel,

okay?

Nimrod's empire.

All right,

if we were going to, especially from the time of John writing this, he says five have been,

okay, five, Five have existed.

Well,

if you ask me to go back in the Bible and pick those five out,

I would go to Daniel and I pick the four empires that Daniel predicted.

And then I would go to the empire where the pagan religion started, the Tower of Babel.

I would choose that one and I would have five. Right.

All right,

then it says five have fallen.

One is and the other has not yet come.

Right.

Now the one that is.

It could be wrong.

Okay?

It could be,

it could be an empire that, that, it could be China,

okay? Because you know, China has thousands of years of imperial rule.

All right,

it could be, you know, a Mongol empire or something like that.

You could, you could choose those empires. But none of those empires are tied to this one world religion or this worldwide paganism,

okay?

And I use that word paganism to explain that religion. It's based off of the worship of a female deity who has a son who is somehow,

somehow messed up. And then there's a resurrection story. It is a complete counterfeit of the promises of God that started in the Garden of Eden, okay?

And the male deity being in those religions, really a worship of Satan.

All right?

Now understanding that is really, really important because that's where I would go to look.

All right?

The nation that the empire that hasn't been but comes about and is intricately tied to this paganism is what I would call the Muslim empire.

Or the best way to describe it is an extension of what is called the Ottoman Empire.

Okay?

All right. And the Ottoman empire began about 150 years after Muhammad died. 100 to 150 years.

And the Muhammad in the, in the Ottoman Empire attained to a size that was roughly about 70% of the Roman Empire. They didn't conquer all of Europe. They didn't conquer but parts of Europe,

okay? But they did conquer all of North Africa.

They conquered all the Middle East. They conquered all the way over to,

to what is modern day Afghanistan.

They conquered up into the, up into the European steps as you head toward the giant European plain,

okay? And I know y' all don't know what I'm talking about, but basically, the Europe, Europe, Europe starts in France. There's a plain,

which means it's just really, really flat, like the Midwest, like Iowa, if you've ever been to Iowa. It starts in France, and it goes through Europe, Germany and Poland and all through Belarus and.

And all the way to the Ural Mountains, which are right dead in the middle of what we call modern day Russia.

All right?

The. The. The.

The. The Muslim empire, which was consolidated into the Ottoman Empire,

existed all the way up to the Asian steps,

all the way up almost into that plane,

okay?

And it was as great an empire as really the Roman Empire,

okay?

Now you go. Why are you mentioning that?

Because every time anybody I listen to, especially from a Christian perspective,

talks about the Book of the Revelation,

they rarely deal with this issue.

And the issue is the Muslim faith,

okay?

And it is a major issue.

It's considered one of the Abrahamic religions,

although it is a complete.

It is a complete four.

I'm losing the word counterfeit.

It's a complete counterfeit of.

Of Judaism, Christianity. And here's what's so crazy.

That pagan religion where,

you know,

Osiris,

Isis,

Zeus,

Allah is the primary God to be worshiped. He's not a personal God. He does not have a personal relationship with you.

He does not.

The religion does not. Is not.

You'll hear them say all the time, it's a religion of peace.

They do not convert by peace. They convert by war,

okay? Never have,

never will,

okay?

They convert by war and always have.

And anybody who is involved in that religion turns militant and aggressive and is involved in war.

No compromise either.

And they are in. And it is the. It is. It is the embodiment of that ancient Babel paganism from Nimrod the Great.

It is the embodiment of it,

okay?

It subjugates human beings.

It destroys truth and life.

I want you to hear me. They'll tell you. Well, the Ottoman Empire created some of the greatest. No, they didn't.

No, they didn't. They took all that knowledge from the great Christian communities of Syria,

of Persia,

of Egypt,

all across the North African coast,

all the way into the Iberian peninsula, Spain and Portugal,

all the way up into Constantinople,

all the way over into. Into.

Into Europe, as far as almost to France.

They took all that knowledge and put it to work in conquering. And if they had not been defeated in a couple of battles, one that took place in northern Spain where Germanic and Spanish people stopped them and eventually drove them out of the Iberian peninsula.

And if. And if the, if the Serbians and all the people of that area of the world, if they not stood up and defeated the Ottoman Empire, the Ottoman Empire would have taken all of Europe.

Now, I'm telling you that for a reason,

because I think the Muslim faith plays a huge role.

And I believe one of the beasts in the. In. In. In the end times either has a family tie to Islam or is Muslim himself.

Okay? I think the beast out of the sea is either a converted Christian from Islam or is a Muslim himself.

Okay?

Now, I believe that because that is the only great empire from the Roman Empire to today that is directly tieable to that pagan religion.

All right? Now, could it been.

You can come up with a lot of empires. You can come up with the Mongols coming across,

but they didn't. They weren't involved in that pagan empire.

Okay? You can come up with China,

but China is not involved in world conquest. The Chinese are not into that. They like to build walls,

okay?

Not, not really. If you think. Look at what the Chinese do right now. What are they doing? They're building islands as if they're building walls around their country to keep us from taking them.

That's what they're doing.

That's what they're doing. They, they, they gave up on conquest after they tried to. Well, the Mongols. After the Mongols tried to conquer Japan twice and,

and got their tails whipped,

okay?

That ended the conquest. And the Chinese people have moved away from that.

All right?

I don't believe it's the Chinese. It can't be the Indians.

The Indians,

they're still trying to figure out how to get along with each other.

India was always a series of city states that controlled the whole peninsula. The whole,

what we call subcontinent can't be them.

So all you've got left is some empire that's so much less than the rest of them that you can't compare it to. What about the Holy Roman Empire?

The Holy Roman Empire wasn't any better than just a confederation of what is modern day France and Germany and Switzerland.

Okay? No,

nothing compares to. What about the British Empire? You know, the sun never set on the British Empire.

Not really,

no.

Sure they had. They, they, they, they ruled the commerce of the world, but they didn't rule. They didn't really have a whole lot of rule.

Other than India. Other than India, they and Australia.

Not a great empire.

I know that hurts British people's feelings, but it's not a world empire. When you Compare it to Alexander the Great,

Rome,

the Ottomans.

Not comparable.

Not comparable.

And so when you study these things,

I think that he is pointing to the Muslims.

And let me tell you, they're playing a huge role in what's going on over there, even to this day.

All right, you're going to have, you're going to, you have the continuation of them working toward the Abraham. Abrahamic Abram Accords.

Okay.

You're, you're having all of the Sunni Muslims trying to align themselves with the west and by the way, trying to align themselves with Israel.

Yeah.

All right.

The Shiite Muslims are not. But, you know,

we basically bombed them half to death about six months ago.

The beast, he says, he says.

And the other has not yet come.

Like I said, I don't know what that means.

I don't know. I don't know how that works out. Now,

as far as the Islamic empire in its existence, the Ottoman Empire,

it was not a great empire, but for about four or 500 years,

okay,

it began to shrink. It began to have parts of it taken over.

By the 14th and 15th century,

different aspects of it were being eaten away. And finally the Ottoman Empire died at the end of World War I.

Okay.

And was split up and totally disseminated, but it wasn't a great empire. But from about 807, 50, 800 on up, until really the 12th, 13th, 14th century when the Crusaders and other people destroyed them.

And I'm going to tell you who really, really hurt them was the.

Came from China,

the Mongols. The Mongols.

The Mongols.

The Mongols attacked a city in the heart of the Ottoman Empire.

And I want to say it's where modern day Baghdad is, but it may be somewhere else.

And they killed a million people and cut their heads off and made a pile of their heads,

the Mongols did to that city. And I want to say it's a city that's near Baghdad that they destroyed.

Anyway,

why am I telling you all this?

You don't know.

I mean, you don't know.

I don't know what this means.

Okay.

And you know, I'm pretty confident about things. I know, right?

If I don't know, I don't. I don't come in and tell you. Well, this is definitely this,

because it's. You just don't.

I don't think that I.

It would. If God wanted to give us clarity about it, he would give us clarity about it, and he's not.

All right.

As you go today, I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
