The purpose of studying scripture is that you might know the character of Jesus Christ, and that you might see the world from the Father's perspective. That you gain wisdom that changes your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open His word to you and allow you to see Him and to know Him. To know His will, that you might glorify Him and that you might walk in faith and power each day, especially today. In Jesus name.

This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life. Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today. In Jesus name.

It says, for all the nations have drunk of the rye of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Okay, now remember, wine is one of the three liquids that is prime. I'm giving you all the. All the pictures tonight. I don't know why, but they're interesting. Wine is a picture, is generally speaking a picture of. Want to go solid, liquid gas. I. Solid generally is Jesus because he's the physical manifestation of God. All right? Gas is usually. If it's some kind of gas in scripture, it's usually pointing to the heavenly Father. Okay? And then liquid is the Holy Spirit. And there's three liquids that are primarily mentioned that have to do with the Holy Spirit. Wine, oil, and water. All right, Is a picture of the power of the Holy Spirit, the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit. And then. And then wine is a picture of the goodness of the Holy Spirit. Some people from some Christian backgrounds that wine is. Is something good. But remember, Jesus made. Not only did he make water into wine, he made a whole lot of water into wine because the jars were. There were six of them. And they weren't little bitty jars, okay? They were. They were jars that would have held. Would have held. Basically, what would have be. What would be the liquid that he made really, really good wine. Okay, now I'm going to tell you, I don't drink a lot of wine, and so I don't like it, but I don't. So. But wine is a picture of the goodness of the Holy Spirit. And whenever you run across it, that's what it pictures. All right, now I want you to hear me. I want you to hear me when it's mentioning wine. Here. It says, for all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. So it's pointing to this being as. This is this. This. This religion, this paganism does not create goodness. What does it Create powerful wrath, okay? Which means that this religion. The way this religion operates is. It doesn't operate in grace or goodness or. What does it operate in? Wrath, Okay? In, in. It's oppressive, all right? It destroys. One of the things that I always. I always hear from, especially adults who come to Christ, okay? You'll hear this from them a whole lot. You'll hear them talk about the intenseness of the. Of the emptiness that exists in their life prior to Christ, okay? And how they. There doesn't seem to be any happiness in their lives. And I'm going to move away from the idea of happiness. There's no joy in their lives, okay? Happiness is fleeting. Joy is abiding, okay? And you'll hear people talk about that. Talk about how, how that the holy. How that they just didn't feel anything. They felt. No value, okay? All right? And, and when you, when you hear that from them, they're right because you have no value. On you if you just remove yourself from God. You're right. You're a decay. Have to deal with what your life produces is because. Because God has made you of consequence or you are consequential. You matter, okay? Without God, you don't matter. You're just a big hunk, big gobbery goo of, of cells and plot, a protoplasm and, and myths, okay? But, but with God, you have great value, okay? So if a person lives to adulthood and begins to explore the value of their life, if they view it outside of the lens of God, then they're right. They are worthless. They don't have any value. There is emptiness. There is nothingness. Now, when I add God to the equation, God. God says, you have great consequence and value to me. And once I gr. Once I begin to attribute my value not to myself, but I attribute my value to God, then I'm of great consequence. I matter. Without God, it's hard to find reason that I do matter. It give you good feelings. They abandon you, right? Your youth, it abandons you, right? Your wealth, it tries to get away from you all the time when the government's not trying to steal it from you. Am I right? Am I right? All right, listen to me. One of the great things that we value in life are our children. And then they grow up and they turn 15 and 16 and you wish you hadn't had them sometimes. Am I right? And then when they get grown, they don't need you anymore. You hope that they put themselves in a position where they don't need you. And, and, and, and and, and even people who, who, who have their children move out from. Deal is because for many people, that's the only thing in their life that was fulfilling to them. Makes sense. All right? And so ultimately, ultimately when they're gone, you've lost your, what, self worth and value. All right? Remember, all of that is viewing the world from your perspective on yourself rather than viewing the world from God's perspective. All right, There's. But, but now if you raise your children to be who they be, people of consequence, and you view them from God's perspective and you from God's perspective, then. Notice how fleeting happiness can be and how abiding joy can be. And joy only comes from what? From God. All right? It only comes from God. So they drink the wine of the wrath of her fornication. The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her. Meaning they have used her, they have worshiped her and she has great value. Now if you want to get into the one world government and all that kind of stuff, you know, the different Rothschilds and the. That's a rabbit hole. I'm just saying to you, and that's a huge rap. Don't you hear me? I'm. I pretty much know they are, all right? But, but remember, oftentimes, just like when we're talking about Satan, if you'll notice, I don't spend a lot of time talking about the Devil, okay? I mention him when he's in scripture, but I don't spend a whole lot of time talking about him. All right? Why? Because not. I'm not here to glorify him, okay? He doesn't have any glory. All right, Listen to me. There are a lot of evil things that are going on in the world. And some of those things that you, They're real. True, but I want you to hear me. That's. Him is a. 10. All right, but is your job, while you're the light, to be identifying the darkness? No, you just be the light. The, the darkness flees from the light. Okay? And, and, and so many times we do get so, so much into these things and we allow them to remove us from the. Why. That's why I've given you the warning. I've told you I've been down many rabbit holes. If you said, pastor, you believe what it deals with. All right? I heard another voice from heaven saying, come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins and lest you receive her plagues. So at some point in time, there's going to be a light that causes God's people to totally disengage with it. But it also means that until that time happens, God's people are going to be. Are going to be engaged in it in some way, okay? We're going to be like the tar baby. We're going to be somehow fighting it and then getting it all over us. Okay? There's just no way to get away from it. You. You just. You just. How many? Some. There's some folks not from around here. There's a. Didn't find it on the ground. You'll just leave the woods at some point in time, and it'll be all over your shoes and your shoelaces and. And it's called beggar lice. Okay? All right. That's what the seed's called. Okay? And. And you won't know. Off your socks. If you have not experienced begalice. I pray that you don't. But if you live here long enough, you're going to get into some bag of lice at some point in time. Pastor, does it hurt? No, it just makes you want to cuss, okay? That's all it does. It just makes you want. To. It's on you and no way to get past it. And let me tell you something. Blue jeans are terrible. To get it all up. In many ways, that's what this one world religion is. This ancient paganism is so much a part of our lives that it's hard for us, All right? That's what he says. He says, come out of her, my people, lest you share inner sin. And God has remembered her iniquities. Now, if you'll notice, this is not a minor thing. It's not something that's just no big deal, okay? It is big deal, all right? Her works, all right? Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double her. Then, which is pretty devastating, all right? Now I want you to hear me. We are neither. We are neither tools, nor are we objects of the wrath of God. Y' all hear what I said? All right? We are neither a tool nor the object of God's wrath. So if you think one of your jobs is to be the wrath of God against sin and godlessness in the world, you're wrong. You're not. He's not going to pour his wrath out on you once you're redeemed, okay? That's why the Bible says there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus the rat. He's not going to force his is redeemed to undergo his wrath. God's the tool of God's wrath in the world is usually another portion. He doesn't need our help for wrath. I mean, that's dead on the money. He doesn't need you to help him with his wrath. Okay? Now that's a great thing for you to learn, okay, as you're watching the nightly news, all right? You're not the object of his wrath. And his wrath is going to be completely quenched. He's going to be completely used up in its fullness. Not the tool of his wrath is really, really important in how I see the world. There are a lot of believers who want to be the tool of God's wrath, okay? Want to point out all the evil that is going on. All right? Now, I'm not saying don't call cncn, not for the purpose of. Of condemnation. And listen to me when you hear it, you know the difference between the two, okay? You know the difference between the two. There are certain things that I'm not. And you really need to see that and know that and understand that his redemptive work changes people. He says, render her just as you render to you and repay her double according to their works. And the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. As you go. Today I pray that the Lord will.

Bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you that and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
