Okay, if I said that I bought a Coca Cola and it leaked out all over the ground, that wouldn't be a indictment of the actual liquid Coca Cola. It'd be indictment of the can that had a hole in it. Okay? And so when I say that, that you leak the power of the Holy Spirit, what I mean by that is, is when we are disobedient or when we are living in the flesh or when we're doing anything except for being in the middle of God's will and seeking God's will out, what happens is, is we are a vessel that is a holder of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the Bible says, do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit? Okay? And so we are made to be a holder of the Holy Spirit. And so when we're obedient, we as a vessel are complete and we're able to hold what God is doing. Now, when you're disobedient, you empty yourself of the Holy Spirit. You empty yourself by disobedience, okay? And so, and so when a person is, is. Is completely obedient to God, they begin to fill up with the Holy Spirit. And eventually that overflows. It's a picture of, you know, the, the, the, the, the. When he told the woman at the well, it's going to well up in you to eternal life. What he's saying is, is that. And remember the Holy Spirit's water. He's the cleans work of God. He is oil, which is the power of God, and he is wine, which is the goodness of God. And so, and so when, when, when he felt that, and we described it as oil, if you'll notice, that's what he described it as. I hadn't had ever heard him tell that story when he described it as oil. What he was describing is the power of God that was welling up in him. And it was manifesting on the outside of him, which means it effectuated change in the world around him, okay? Now, you can call that the second baptism or you can call it whatever you want to. What I would call it is, I would call it a work of the Holy Spirit due to the obedience of the believer, okay? And you can come up with whatever phraseology you want to use for it. I have other things that I would call it, but not going to get that deep into it because if I do, then I'll have to teach all night about that, okay? And so, so understanding that your obedience, and ultimately our obedience to God is going to manifest in self sacrificial love for the world around us and the people around us, okay? It gets past you and what you're dealing with on you and what you're struggling with on you and what you're worried about with you. And it moves past you to the world around you. And when you become obedient to God, and if you'll notice, when did it happen? When he said, take me, what that means is I surrender all of me. I surrender me, okay? And in the process of surrendering me, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, okay? And the power of the Holy Spirit manifests itself in the world around you when you surrender to me and allow God to be fully in charge of me. Now, I say that because we talk about the Holy Spirit a lot. And the reason we talk about the Holy Spirit a lot is not because we have a charismatic or flavor to us, okay? It's because Jesus said it's necessary that the Holy Spirit come, I gotta go, so that he can have his fullness, okay? And you go, well, couldn't Jesus and the Holy Spirit operate together, you know, like a Batman and Robin type situation? I mean, couldn't they have done that? Well, here's the problem. Everybody would have wanted to go and hang out with Jesus, okay? And that sounds like fun until, you know, there's 8 billion of us trying to hang out with him, okay? And then nobody's really hanging out with him, all right? Because the minute he came as a man in the flesh, he determined to be one of us. Not just while he was on the earth, but he is a human being sitting at the right hand of the Father. Even right now, when he returns, he will return as a human being. When he reigns, he will reign as a human being. And when he remakes the new heaven and new Earth, he will do that as a human being, which means he is no longer omnipresent. Okay, 100% God. But in order to be with us completely, he is not omnipresent. Now, the Holy Spirit is omnipresent. He's omnipresent all the time and always has been. And so Jesus said it's necessary that he. Because, see, the Holy Spirit can be intensely working on you and then you, and then you and you and me all at the same time. Because he's God manifest everywhere at all times. All right? So understand that's important. Now, in. In scripture, there is a. And remember, the names that God gives us, gives himself, are not. Because he's got multiple personality disorder, okay? The reason God has multiple names is names describe an aspect of who he is. And no name in any way could adequately describe all that God is. And so God has multiple names. He gives himself multiple names because every name speaks to an aspect of who he is that is unique from every other aspect of who he is. And that's true of Jesus, and that's true of the Holy Spirit. Okay? The Holy Spirit has a name in scripture. He is called he who let it. Okay? And when I say that, that's L, E, T, I, T, H, he that let if. Okay, what does that mean? Well, he's the one that. That allows things to take place. He is the one who holds back, and he's the one who allows, okay? And so when the Holy Spirit's at work, the Holy Spirit determines how much you have to deal with of the enemy. Satan. Are you following me? Such that you will grow because of the resistance. You will grow because of the resistance rather than. Rather than have the whole weight of the enemy attack you. And so the Holy Spirit, when he came to the church, the Holy Spirit has functioned as well. He's a mediator. He's functioned as a gate to you and the enemy. And the enemy has access to you only at the level at which you will grow and mature, okay? And sometimes people go, I don't get that. Well, the only way for me to, you know, the best way for me to describe it is this way. When Jesus was getting ready to go the cross, and there had to be a leader that was fully developed and ready to lead the church after he left, after he was resurrected, okay? There was a person that was being groomed for the position, okay? And that person who was being groomed for the position was going to be in that position for a while until the person who ultimately would take that position. Well, until he was born again and came on the scene. Now, can anybody tell me the person that was being groomed for the position. Peter. Okay. Peter was being groomed for the position. Can anybody tell me the head of the church in Jerusalem through the persecution that took place about five years to a decade after Jesus was resurrected, starting with Stephen being killed in the temple. Does anybody know who took over as the head of the church then? Not Paul. Paul was the missionary to the world who took over as head of the church in Jerusalem. James, the brother of Jesus. James, the brother of Jesus. And you go, why did he have to. Why wasn't he ready? Because he didn't believe in Jesus. He didn't believe in Jesus till after the resurrection when Jesus appeared to him. After the resurrection, James became a believer. But you can't become a believer and all of a sudden be ready to be the head of the church. He had to have time to get ready to be head of the church in Jerusalem. And during that time period, Peter was the head of the church. And then when the church was scattered, he remained there and allowed James to take over. And then he began his missionary journeys. Okay, and so we understand that those things are really, really important to see how God did it. Now, what did God. What did Jesus say to pet? Peter said, I'll follow you anywhere. I'll die for you. He said, get behind me, Satan. You don't have the things of God in mind. But he also said something else. Do y' all remember what he said to him? He said, that's it. Said, peter, Satan has desired to sift you as wheat. And he's any. And the word he uses here. And when you have reached your full, or when you have matured, or when this has brought you to the level of that. That. That its purpose is. When that happens, he says. He says, take care of your brothers. Take care. Take care of the flock. Okay? All right. Now what does that mean? Well, that means that Satan had asked to sift Peter like wheat. And what did God say? Yes. Okay, now I want you to hear me. That means that Peter was ready to be sifted. And that means that Peter was going to, in the end, be made into who he was supposed to be because the Holy Spirit was going to allow Satan to do the full work of sifting him. But when you return, when you come, when you're. When you reach the place where you're back, okay, where you. Where you. It's really almost the idea of resurrection. Where you. When you stand again, okay, Take care of your brothers. Feed the sheep. Okay? Now understanding that is. Is an understanding of how the Holy Spirit operates Now let's start with Revelation 20. It says, Then I saw. Now I want you to notice this morning we saw the angel of the Lord in Judges chapter two come down and he took control. If y' all didn't hear that Bible study this morning. Let me just read what the angel of the Lord says in Judges chapter two real quick so that you can recognize that this is Jesus himself. It is the angel of the Lord speaking. Then the angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochum and said, I led you up from Egypt. Who did he say led you up from Egypt? I did, He says, and brought you to the land which I swore to your fathers, who swore to their father, to their fathers, their father, Abraham, that they would have the land. God did notice. The angel of the Lord is saying, I did these things. Who is it? It's Jesus, he says, which I swore to your fathers. And I said, I will never break my covenant with you. Hmm. That's the angel of the Lord. That's the pre incarnate Christ. Now let's go to Revelation chapter 20. It says, Then I saw an angel. What kind of angel? Just an angel. Now, don't you hear this? What kind of angel? Did it say an archangel? Did it say it has? Did it say a mighty angel? Has it said there's a mighty angel? Has, as the book of the Revelation presented mighty angels? Yeah. It said, a mighty angel spoke, or a mighty angel blasted a horn. Or a mighty angel did this or that. Is this. Is this a mighty angel? No. Would it have described it that way in consistency if it had been a mighty angel? Yes. He says, then I saw an angel come down from heaven having a key to the bottomless pit. Right. Who's got the keys? Jesus got the keys. Now you got to get that. He's got the keys. How do I know he's got the keys? Cause he conquered sin and death. And he went down and he took the keys. He's got the keys to hell. He's got the keys to heaven. He's got the keys to the bottomless pit. He's got a key to keys to the lake of fire. He's got a keys to paradise. He's got a key to everything. He has access to all things. All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18. Therefore Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. I have the keys. I got the keys. So this angel comes down, who did he get the keys from? Jesus. And what Keys. Did he have keys to the bottomless pit? You go, well, what is the bottomless pit? Now, I don't know exactly what it is, but it's a pit that if you get thrown in, there's no bottom to it sliding. Y' all know, and its title is really good at describing what it is. It's a pit with no bottom. Now you go, pastor, how can there be a pit with no bottom? Well, let me tell you how there could be one, okay? If I were to bore a hole from right where I am straight down through the earth and bore it all the way to the other end, seal it on one side and seal it on the other and suck all the air out of it, I would have a tube that is a vacuum, and that tube that's in a vacuum would bisect. Are y' all with me? It would bisect the. The gravitational field of the Earth. Meaning it would. It would. It would. As you go toward the Earth, you would be entering. You would be. You would be going closer to. Closer to the center of that gravitational field. And the bending of. The. Bending of the. The. The. The time space continuum would. Would. Would become less and less. And then as you got to the other end, it would become greater and greater. So if I removed all the air, which would cause friction in the tube and slow your descent and dropped you in it, you would fall all the way to the other end of the Earth. And about the time you got to the other end, you slow up enough to fall right on back to the other way. And so is it possible to have a bottomless pit? Yeah. Now you ask, where is the bottomless pit? Well, the Bible says it's in the Earth. Preacher, you telling me there's a vacuumless hole right through the middle of the Earth where Satan is going to be bouncing back and forth to both ends? I don't know. Bible says there is. So we'll find out, won't we? As you go today, I pray that

the Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
