This is Chad Harrison, and you're listening to Hope Applying God's word to your daily life. Hi, this is Chad Harrison, and I am the teaching pastor of Lake Community Church and have been serving as a pastor for 25 years. I'm also a practicing attorney. This podcast is designed to help you study God's word and find God's will for your life. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that God would open up his word to you and allow you to see him and to know him and to know his will, that you might glorify him and that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today, in Jesus name.

All right, you go. Well, what about us? Well, we're the bride of Christ, okay? We're not going to rule. We're going to be the bride. We're going to be. We're going to be all over the world doing what we do now, being the sons of light, okay? These people who are martyred and then raised from the dead when Jesus comes back, they are going to actually be the governing body, the governors of. Of the earth when Jesus comes back. That's what I believe happens, okay? And the reason I believe it happens is because, well, it says it does, okay? And I don't know if y' all know it, but earlier in just a few minutes ago, I said that I kind of believed this stuff, all right? And if you don't know that, then you ain't been listening. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. So he says there's another resurrection after the thousand years. Who is that a resurrection of? Well, you had. You had the resurrection. You had the resurrection of the saints that are a part of the bride of Christ. Then you have a resurrection of those who were killed during the tribulation. And then you have a resurrection at the end of the thousand years. And so you go, I don't really know what's going on. Well, turn with me to 1 Corinthians 15, because I think it gives us some light as to what he's talking about, because Paul is explaining it here, okay? And he's going to be the One that wrote 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, verse 20 of 1 Corinthians 15 says this, that. But now Christ is risen from the dead. All right? Past tense. Christ is risen from the dead, and he's talking about resurrection here, okay? And it's become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. All right? So he's the first resurrected, one of those. And when he uses fallen asleep, that's a euphemism in the New Testament for dead. Okay? For since by man came death. All right, how did. Who brought death into the world? Adam. Now, remember our Bible study last week? Do y' all remember. Y' all remember Friday night when I explained to you that even though the Paul says in First Timothy that Eve was deceived, okay? And you go, well, Eve was deceived, so death came through Eve. That's not what Paul says. Paul says death didn't come through Eve because who received. Who received God's word, God's law, God's precepts? Adam did. Adam received him. Eve transgressed what Adam was told. If you'll remember, I said that Adam could have not eaten of the fruit, could have waited till the cool of the evening when the Lord God came, told the Lord God. Then Adam could have functioned in God's divine plan for humanity, which is his word. Now, I want you to listen to me. Was First Corinthians or was Galatians or Ephesians or any of those books written back then? All right, Were they a part of God back then? Yes, because Jesus is the Word made flesh. All right, so when the Bible says that husbands can love their wives, as Christ loved the church in so much that he died for, that means that husbands have the power of resurrection for their wives. Because why die if there's no resurrection? Now, I want you to hear that is Jesus is God telling you he wants you to love your wife up to death. And then, you know, you die for. And you know, she gets some young fella because you gave her all her, you know, money and, you know, stuff like that. That's not what he's saying. It's not what he's saying. What he's saying is, is that you have the power to die to yourself and physically die so that your wife might experience the resurrection power of God. Okay? All right, so what Jesus could have done was, was he could have taken out, he could have sacrificed him. He could have used the blood to pay for the sins of his wife, okay? And then raised him from the dead. And so then death wouldn't have entered the world because Adam would have paid for it. So there would be no debt and there would be no death passed on. Does that make sense? All right, so when we get to this passage, it says that death entered the world through one man. Not woman, man. When he ate of the fruit, that's when death entered the world, not when she ate of the Fruit. All right, now, understanding. Now you go, well, I've had people tell me this week, I've never heard that before. Okay, well, I understand, but I understand that. And, and, and, and, and that is a nuance that, you know, it's not easy to find, not easy to realize. But if you spend a lot of time reading God's word and thinking on these things, allow it to be ever before you. You start putting things together and you'll hear something like, you know, how many people can be in the, in the city limits of Jacksonville, Florida? And you go, oh, well, that makes God's word work better than I thought it did. You know, Then all of a sudden you go, you start hearing things and information and you start putting it in line with what God. Oh, God must have known what was going on. Now I'm acting that way because a lot of Christians don't really think he does that. And, and let me tell you something. You know how I know? Because they don't live like he does. Just letting that settle for a minute. There's a lot, a lot of Christians, A lot, a lot, a lot of, lot of Christians who know things about God that God has said but don't believe them. And the way I know they don't believe them is because they don't. They don't act like they're a lot. They're true. You know, there's a lot of knowing. You can know God's law. You can know his word. You cannot believe it and go to hell. His. His. His divine nature is written on the hearts of every human being. Did you know the Bible said the law of God is on the heart of every human being? Did y' all know that? So every human being in their heart knows that there's a God. The fool has said in his heart there is no God. Okay, why does God say that? Is it because he's hidden himself and he's just saying a bunch of fools? No, he's not hidden himself. He's written his divine truth on their heart. They've rejected him. Likewise, if you're a believer and you know an aspect of what God has said or a promise that he's given or a way that he acts or how he does and you deny it, aren't you acting like the infidel should God bless that? No. And he doesn't. He just doesn't. And I've had that frank conversation. Well, Chad, I heard you preach that, and I'm going to tell you, I just don't believe it. I said well, now, don't worry about it. Listen. Listen to me. You just don't worry about it. I don't believe God heals people anymore. Don't. That's fine. Fine. Just understand now, you don't believe he heals anymore, so you ain't getting healed. And nobody that's got anything to do with being under your authority is going to be healed. Just understand that. You think. Going to be no healing. Not going to happen. All right? I don't believe that God blesses us, okay? Well, you ain't going to be blessed. In fact, you're going to really do a good job of living this out, okay? And prove. You're going to prove that God doesn't bless those who don't believe. And I just. You just start going through it. What has God said? You know, that's the question. When you come up to an issue, what does God say? Not what you say. Not what Google says. Not what OpenAI says. By the way, OpenAI hallucinates, which means when it can't come up with the answer, which means it just scours the Internet for the answer and it can't find it, it just comes up with an answer. Lawyers are losing their license because they're using the Internet to write briefs. And then the brief comes out. And because they can't find a law or a ruling that matches up with what they're trying to argue, AI just makes up. Then. Then judges, when they're reading the brief, they go, well, I never heard that before. And they look it up and it ain't there, which is malpractice. Just letting you know there's only one person who knows everything. All right? Notice it says, for since man. Since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. Who is the man that resurrection of the dead came by? Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Okay? For as in Adam, all die, so in Christ, all shall be made alive. Notice who in Adam, all. Who dies. Everybody dies because of who. Not Eve, Adam, but each one in his own order. Christ. He's given us the order. Christ. The first fruits, which would be. We're the first fruits. The New Testament calls us the first fruits of the resurrection. All right, so the church afterwards, those who are. Who are Christ at his coming, which means there's going to be a resurrection of those who are at Christ during his second Advent. Make sense? So First Corinthians tells me there's three resurrections. There's Christ, there's the resurrection of the first fruits, then there's the resurrection of Those who are in Christ at his first coming. Now the revelation is telling us that there's a resurrection after the thousand years of all those who are not in Christ. You go, pastor, what does this really matter to me? I don't know. I don't know when it'll matter. Don't you hear me? A lot of people say, well, you know, I've had people even tell me this past of the Old Testament. I'm just like a New Testament guy. In fact, I like the red letter version. So I just read the red. I just. I'm just a Jesus man, okay? I just love some what Jesus says. Everything else, I just kind of cruise on by. Okay, well, there's a problem with that because the Bible says that it's all Jesus. Okay? And then, and then the other problem with that is you don't understand a whole lot of stuff. You don't have answers for things. Okay? And by the way, where do we. Where is most of our information on the resurrection at? Does anybody know? Well, it's not in the New Testament. It's in the Old Testament. Amos, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel. There's far more references to a resurrection in the Old Testament than there is in the New Testament. You got to know it. Remember, if I go into battle with just a partial playbook, well, then I'm just going to be partially effective, right? If I don't know things, it's time for me to learn things, it's time for me to wrestle with things. Can you know it all? No, but you need to know most of it. I'd be toe up about it too. Now, I ain't going to lie to you.

As you go today. I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
