I pray in the name of Jesus that God would open his word to you, allow you to see him and to know him, so that you would know his will and his way for your life, that you might walk in faith and power each and every day, especially today. Word of God, please speak to the hearers of your voice today in the name of Jesus. Amen. He says, and the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, meaning it was full. It was complete. With faith and love. Which is, which is, which are in Christ Jesus. See, God was faithful to me when I wasn't faithful to him. He loved me when I didn't love Him. He agaped me when I just filet oed him. That's some cool stuff too, isn't it? He says, this is a faithful saying worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of who I am, Chief. And I will tell you if you're going to be. If you're going to be a leader in the church, if at any point in time you think somebody's a greater sinner than you, you are not correctly evaluating your sin. Because, and look, it's just a practical thing, all right? I'm quite sure that Jimmy is every bit the sinner as I am. Are you following me? I'm quite sure he is. But I know my sin. He only know I don't know he all his sin. So in my mind, who's the chief at it? Who's the best at it? I'm the best at it all. I know. I know Jimmy and the things he does out of love and service and all that stuff. I see that my sin's always before me. I'm the chief sinner in my life. Top notch. I'm the best. Now I want you to hear me. He's teaching. He's teaching Timothy this. He's saying to Timothy, this is how you got to Think. This is how you got to think. It's okay to think that way. Remember, I can convict but not condemn. I'm not going to walk in condemnation over it. I'm not telling you that I'm a sinner and I'm going to hell. I'm not telling you I'm a sinner. I'm not never going to get out of it. I'm just telling you that I am one. Conviction comes from God. Condemnation is for those who are not redeemed because therefore there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So now if you're walking in condemnation as a believer, well, that's a problem. You're not allowing the finished work of Jesus Christ to have its fullness in your life. You're not. But it is always good for a leader to recognize their inadequacies. And sometimes God just slaps us in the back of the head with them. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of who I am, chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy. Who, for this reason I got what I didn't deserve or I didn't get what I did deserve. That's mercy. Sorry I didn't get what I deserved, which was what hell be destroyed. I didn't get it. I didn't get it that in me first, Jesus Christ might show all long suffering. He. He said, he said he's been. He's been patient with me. He's long suffering as a pattern to those who are going to believe on him for everlasting life or eternal life. That's a better translation of that. Okay, what he's saying is, as for a pattern, I am the pattern. I'm being a pattern here. And if the sheep are going to follow you, you gotta, you gotta give the pattern. Because they are going to believe. You're going to get. You're going to live out the gospel. And they're going to believe because they've seen it. They're going to see it now. To the King, eternal, immortal, invisible to God alone, who is wise, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. So who gets glorified? God, that's it. Jesus. He gets glorified. Nobody else. This I charge and commit to you. Meaning you got to live it too. What I just explained to you how I live. You got to live. You got to live it too. I charge and commit it to you according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage a good way. You may wage the good warfare all right? Now, I want you to hear me. Prophecy. You got to get this. Prophecy is a spiritual truth that's foretold, based in God's word, intended to be delivered to a believer, okay? Any revelation of God that is based in his word, intended for believers is prophecy, okay? Now, that can be predictions of the future, which is, you know, all us mainline denominationalists, that's what we thought prophecy was growing up. But I've come to the understanding that prophecy is way more than that, all right? Now, where prophecy is allowed, which means words of knowledge, words of prophecy, things like that, where that is allowed, you go. Allowed. I'm not getting into that in the night, okay? But where that is fostered all the gifts of the spirit. If you walk with God long enough, somebody's going to speak a word of prophecy. You may call it a word of encouragement. You can call it whatever you want to. I don't care what you call it, okay? It's a spiritual gift that's given to you that is a revelation from God based in his word, practical in nature to you. Everyone has prophecy and has a prophecy for them. All of us do. Now, you might be sitting there going, well, nobody's ever prophesied to me. Well, people have prophesied to me. Now, it was very mainline denominational when they did it. When I was young, when those men met me at the back of the church that I prayed with in the men's group on Sunday night, when I was running from the call of God that I'd had all week long, and they said to you, chad, we think you need to be the youth pastor. Youth pastor had resigned to go work for the ministry we'd been with. I said, I'm going to law school. Hmm. I've already talked to God about this. We've worked it out. He said, do this. I said, no, and we're here. This is where we're at. That old man who played basketball with me all the time, he said, you know, God called you, and you can run if you want to, but there'll be a fish waiting for you. Now, I'm not saying it was a sweet word of prophecy, but it was a word of prophecy. It was a word of prophecy. And if you have been had a word of prophecy over you, you better live up to it. You better live it out. Some people call it a call. Some people call it encouragement. Some people call it this, that. The other. I don't care what you call it. They come up with all the things they can call it. Sometimes they call it that to diminish it. Sometimes they call it that because they don't know what it is. It didn't matter. Listen to me. It doesn't matter. A revelation from God based on his Word that's specifically applicable to your life and your future is word of prophecy, however it comes out. Okay? Timothy had had prophet, had, had prophecy, had a prophecy over him, and that prophecy dealt with his call to be the leader of the church. Okay? If you have that, I want you to listen to me. I have that. I know what it is. I know what it looks like. If I come to you and say you got a call on your life. Listen to me. It ain't because I'm trying to manipulate you. I didn't like it when they said that to me, okay? Are you listening to me? Sorry. Too bad. So sad. I'm not letting you off the hook. I didn't put you on the hook. The one who put you on the hook. I can't get you off anyway. You can run all you want to. You will be miserable. You can say, well, I messed up. I can't do it no more. Bull. The very fact that you say I, you know, I've known pastors, that I was a pastor back in the day. I'm going. You still are. One of the reasons you're so jaded and upset because you, you hadn't figured it out. I hadn't been quite that blunt with somebody. But I, I, I'm seeing, I'm heading that way. You can't say God called me to this, but now ain't no but after that. Because anytime you have a but in a, in a sentence, it negates everything in front of it. If you said God said something, you can't say but after that, who are you to negate God's word? There's no but. It's God said this, and you can say, well, this happened, it still ain't over. You don't get away from him. I mean, I, I just being, I can't. You know, some, some people I just want to grab by the ears and headbutt them and the whole nine yards. You know what I'm saying? Beat it into their brain. But that doesn't, it doesn't work that way. Because the submission of your will is the submission of your will, and you have to submit your will to God, and you can't submit your will to me. This is the way it is, boy. It's rough, too. Not being called is rough. Running is rough. And most time it's because they keep condemning themselves. They move past conviction into condemnation. You ain't messed nothing up so bad God can't work it out. In fact, he probably was letting you mess it up so he could work it out. I mean, I mean it's. It's the story of all of them. David, Moses, Abraham. I mean, you just keep going through them, right? Over and over again, mess up big stuff for God. Yeah. He said there's a prophecy concerning you, that by them you may wage a good warfare. Meaning you got to live up to your prophecy. That's why you. Where you fight the good fight. You can't make a new prophecy for yourself. You can't revamp yourself. Having faith and a good conscience. Notice. How do I do that? Having faith? Look, if you've been wounded in the ministry, great. I say, I've said to this to the pastors in morning Bible study, if you ain't heard the roar of Satan, you ain't done nothing yet. If he ain't roared at you, you ain't done it. Keep walking. He'll roar. Cause you gonna step on his tail at some point in time. This way it works. He gonna. He gonna get angry with you, gonna bear his teeth. He gonna roar at you. He can't eat you. He can't touch you, But he can roar at you. Notice when Daniel fell in the lion's den? I want you to hear me. The angel shut the lion's mouth. Not so that they couldn't eat him. They couldn't even get up to get to him. It wasn't an issue of eating. They couldn't get up to get to him. They had no authority over his body. They couldn't get up from the ground to get to him. He shut their mouths. So they quit roaring at him. If you ain't felt the roar, it's coming. It's hard to tell somebody when they walk into church. You know, mainline denominationalists as we are, tell somebody, listen, when you start serving God, it's fitting to get rough. I mean, that don't seem like a good news. You know it don't, but I'm not. This is not a good news. This is salvation stuff. This is not redemption. This is learning to be powerful, Having faith in a good conscience, which. Which some, having rejected concerning the faith, have sh. Suffered a shipwreck. Remember the boat? Ships or boats? Boats represent salvation. They were in the boat, rowing, rowing, rowing. Ran aground somewhere. By the way, if you ain't run aground somewhere, you ain't doing it right. If you go to my house, you'll notice there boats everywhere. Sailboats, rowboats. No motorboats, except in the. In the. In the boathouse. But. But on my. On my walls. Boats everywhere. You know why? They're boats everywhere. Rowboats represent me doing the work of salvation. I'm rolling. Sailboats mean I'm catching the wind of the Holy Spirit. Motorboats, I don't know what they are. They're out. No motorboats on my wall. All kinds of other boats, though. Now he's fixing to name some folks. Now, listen, You can be an. You are going to be an object lesson. You're going to be an object lesson, good or bad. Now, Hymenius, his mama really messed him up with that name anyway. Hyenas. And Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan. Now, what is that? Well, we did that. Dealt with that in First Corinthians. When that comes out, you can go through it. But if you reject the faith and intentionally live in public sin, meaning you say, I am going to do this. Which a man, in Corinthians did. He had his father's wife. Most people believe his father died and he took his father's. Not his mother, but his stepmother. He said, even the pagans don't do that. He said, hand him over to Satan so that his flesh might be destroyed, but his soul might be saved. Okay, what Paul's saying is these. Somebody here was. Had gone off the path and rejected the truth of God. Such that they said that the truth of God wasn't the truth of God. Now, I want you to listen to me. That is a epidemic in the modern church. Sorry. It's an epidemic in the modern church. Are you with me? Can't get away from it. And if you're going to be a pastor, you're going to have to teach those truths no matter what. What time is it? Why'd he hand them over Satan? So they could go to hell. He got handed over Satan so they learned not to say that God says something that he didn't say, not to blaspheme. Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercession and giving thanks be made for all men. What is he saying? Pray, beseech God, beg God, pray for everybody. All right, look. Look at everybody with spiritual eyes. You following me? Look at everybody with spirit, spiritual eyes and giving thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority. That's everybody. All people in authority. Got it? Do I need to get in detail with that? Okay. Doesn't matter. If they're opposite party of yours, okay, doesn't matter if they're Kim Young, if you know Kim over there in Soviet or you know, Putin over in Russia, pray for them. The mullahs in a land, all of them got to pray for everybody. Why? We're not battling against flesh and blood. So listen, that mindset makes you a life changer. And if you're going to lead, if you're going to be, if you're going to be somebody who does ministry, you got to be a life changer. And the only way to be a life changer is, is that you recognize that God is at work all over the place. He's pouring his work out on all flesh and you got to walk in it. He says for kings and all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all good godliness and reverence. What he's saying is we want to live in, in good cultures, good societies, and God listen, we're blessed with that. We're blessed. Anybody who says to you, it ain't never been worse than it is today, they just lying. It's been worse. And trust me, even if you think your life is in the worst place it's ever been, that means God's transition into you to something better. And that means that you're a better place, even if the transition is tough, Right? For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. Meaning this is the way it's done. Got to do it this way. We cannot say, we cannot sell a gospel that does not require people to be fundamentally changed. Notice God, our Savior. He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. That's his heart. That's got to be our heart, right? For there is one God, one mediator between God and men. The man, Christ Jesus. Now what is he saying? There's only one way. Who gave himself as a ransom for all to be testified in due time. Yes. Meaning everybody gets to gets the spirit forward out on their flesh. You go, well, what about the people that don't know it's Jesus? They still know. This got to be a redeemer. Trust me, there are believers in the Bible who do not know it's Jesus. And Job is the prime example. He didn't know. He just said there's a redeemer, Ethiopian unit. He didn't know. But he wasn't there. He wasn't there searching for books to read. He didn't come to Jerusalem just to find a good book to buy. He was looking for God. Remember, if he's looking for God, God was the first one looking for him. He said, who gave himself as ransom for all to be testified in due time. For which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle. I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying. There is objective truth, and the only truth is objective truth. Period. A teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. Yes, I teach the Gentiles in faith and truth. That's what I do. That's the business I'm in. That's how I do it. Not me, Paul. I just try to do it like he does it. Right. As you go today, I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you, that he'll make his face to shine upon you, and that he will give you hope and peace today in Jesus name.
